Denali Fireside Cabin & Suites

Lovely place for an overnight stay in Talkeetna. The cabin was spacious and cozy. The fireplace in the room was beautiful, useful and made the room truly special. The owner (or at least I assume he was) was very friendly and welcoming and gave us some helpful information for our stay in the region

Did not eat breakfast at restaurant. Room location was convenient. Room was a little cold as heat did not work very well.

When we made our reservations, the owner was so helpful about things to do in the area when we were there. When we checked in, the clerk was so sweet and provided us with information on the area. We both were so happy when we went into our cabin! It was the perfect size for the two of us and the decor was so fun with a bear motif. The bed was more comfortable than any "big name hotels"! There was a futon, small table for meals, microwave, fridge, plenty of coffee and tea and a stove in the corner. The area is so peaceful and we spent a lot of time on the front porch swing just enjoying the birch trees and the beautiful fall colors. They are close enough to downtown that you can walk there to visit restaurants and gift shops. We had only planned one night at the cabin as we were traveling from Anchorage to Fairbanks, but on our return trip to fly out, we decided to spend another night here because it was so lovely!! Check in - you won't be disappointed!!!

Accommodations during the offseason were nice. We enjoyed going into town for dinner.

Only thing would be the fire stove/place. We realize it was not working, it was fine, but everything else was just fine.

I was traveling with 2 couples and it was nice for all of us to have our own suites. It was an easy walk into town and a local hangout was 500 feet away. It is by the train, but I did not see that as a big deal. It was nice having a front porch to hang out on and the owner was super nice and offered local recommendations.

The cottage is new and cozy. We appreciate an effective heat stove. The environment is quiet but It is a short walk into town. The owner is very friendly and provide good recommendation.

The bathtub was cracked in the middle and although it was patched it was still uneven. The bathtub drain was clogged.

The cabin was spacious and comfortable for our two night stay. The electric stove was perfect for warmth and ambiance. It was just far enough outside of Talkeetna to be quiet, which we appreciated. My only complaint was their demand that shoes be removed before entering. This made it very difficult going in and out with lace-up boots, especially moving our luggage.
