Log home village

Very nice and cosy accommodation. Loved the ambience. Property was clean and well maintained.

Lovely outlook an design. Sunny afternoon/evening veranda. Farm setting and view. Comfortable.

Dirty/sticky floor. Lack of cleaning things (brush, clothe and washing machine detergent). Two interior doors extremely difficult to open/close. Window blinds broken. Only 3 forks for a 4 person property and no ovenware. Shower hard to turn on and off and temperature hard to control. Just needed a little TLC.

The wooden cabin is beautiful. The interior design is lovely and complements the surroundings. The views from the terrace very pleasant.

The drawbacks are quite minor, like road noise from the nearby highway. It's not massive noise, but it kind of messes with the village climate. Also, it would be nice to have a greater selection of garden furniture for outdoor seating. There is only one bench and table available, which is okay for short visits like ours, but not ideal for extended stays.

The cabin was homely and warm. We immediately felt relaxed and at ease. Good facilities and fantastic views.

The location is exceptional, the view from the front you will never get tired of. The log burner is a nice touch.

This place used to be magical for our family. Every time we have had chance to book Log Home Village for a short stay, it has always filled us with excitement. It is such a shame it has lost its touch. Extremely poor communication from hosts prior to arrival, no welcome greeting on arrival, just an abrupt ‘you’re staying in lodge 2’. Exterior of the lodge hadn’t been cleaned in years. Dust, cobwebs and general lack of cleaning inside the lodge also. Kitchen wasn’t properly equipped to cook, what equipment we were provided with was dirty. Found out the washing machine didn’t work after trying to wash our baby’s clothing and it getting locked in murky, smelly water. The bathroom was literally falling apart, mould between all the tiles and out of the window frame. The shower did not exceed 35 degrees and the bathtub needed a good scrub before I could bath my child. Light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling. The storage cupboard had a serious wood lice infestation, I told the host and he just shrugged his shoulders in response. In the lounge area the television unit was too small, so it had a splintering piece of wood screwed in the side of it to make it fit, next to the log burner there’s a basket and underneath is filthy with wood chips and black stains, they’ve used rugs to try and hide it rather than just replacing the carpet.

The cabin was just off the main road. Which meant it was easy to get to the local attractions and local towns for shopping etc. It was silent at night
