Unawatuna Backpacker Lodge

Breakfast was incredible, such a spread! Bed was very large and comfortable, lots of storage space in the room. Location is great in Unuwatuna, close to lots of cafes, beach and restaurants. Very good value for money!

No vibe at this lodge, mostly couples staying their long-term. The small kitchenette was good for storing food but often was quite messy due to other travellers. When arriving there wasn't a reception and WiFi didn't work however this was quickly rectified by the owner and he gave me the new WiFi details!

The room is big,There is a queen sized canopy bed,terrace with 2 armchairs from where you can see the forest and listen to birds chirping.The breakfast is wonderful and they change it every day.

The bed makes noise when you move.The electric antimosquitoes were empty.

Everything was super clean, we got a room upgrade and the breakfast is super delicious! They even run a super nice little restaurant with a lot of different food, good music and a nice surrounding. The Lodge is also super located only 5min walk to the beach and in the middle of the town but still a quite and remote place.

Very good localization. Super friendly and helpful host. Reasonable price and tasty breakfasts. Loundry service available.

The place was very confortable. The host is very kind and helpful. He owns a nice little restaurant and another house just next, so very quiet almost no other neighbours. Very good breakfast, copious and varied. Fews minutes walk from the beach, many shops and restaurants around. The best plus is that it is located on the jungle edge of the village and by the river, so we had iguanas, varans, birds and plenty of monkeys passing so close to us!! Wonderful!! The best rate quality/price of our travel so far, highly recommanded!

Great location tucked away just from the main street, nice and spacious room, extra clean and super comfortable bed with a balcony and seating area to relax at night. Friendly family and great breakfast. 100 % recommended

Wonderful place tucked away just off the Main Street.. super central but still very quiet! The bedroom was spacious and a large living room and kitchen!! We had lots of privacy which we value! would highly recommend!
