Our stay was very relaxing and pleasantl. The chalet we stayed in had beautiful hardwood floors that added a warm and earthy charm to the already spacious and cozy interior. Though roomy, the chalet maintained a quaint, grounded feel that immediately made us feel at home and in touch with nature. The gardens are absolutely stunning — expansive, peaceful, and filled with greenery. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant, which had a lovely rustic ambience. The food there was delicious. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptionally friendly staff. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The game room added a fun twist to our evenings, and the animals on the property — including ostriches, a gentle donkey, and the sweet resident dog — made it especially delightful. As a bonus, Wild 5 Adventures was just a stone’s throw away, making it super convenient to tap into the thrilling activities Oribi Gorge is known for. Highly recommend Farmers Lodge for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with rustic charm, natural beauty, and a personal touch. We’ll definitely be back!

The only drawback I'd say was the hot water. You need to wait a while until it heats up.

I loved everything from the location too the staff. Everything was simply phenomenal with very friendly staff :) We stayed in the 2 bedroom Chalet which was huge and has an outside braai area. You are directly on the property for Wild 5 adventures which have the wild swing, zipline, quad bikings etc. No reservations needed, it is first come first serve. It is self catering with a cafe on site which serves delicious food. If you are wanting to cook, remember to bring all your meats & veggies as it is hard to find a supermarket around . Lake Eden is about 30 minutes away. The activities there do require bookings so call a day before. But all in all we loved this place and will definitely be visiting again soon :)

Comfortable and peaceful. The staff are attentive and friendly.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Could not ask for anything more. Value for money
