Cecropia Ecolodge

EVERYTHING! This was a one of a kind experience! The location was perfect , we saw so much wildlife- we started the day bird watching at breakfast, breakfast was delicious and we saw soo many species of birds , different ones each day too! The hosts were extremely friendly and knowledgeable and one night took us to spot frogs and there we saw snakes eating them! It was all so peaceful being in the heart of nature.

It is very out of the way which meant taxis were expensive but the hosts were extremely helpful at ordering us taxis and asked us if we needed snacks when they went to the city. But this is what comes with being in such a perfect location and we did not mind this!!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mitten in der Natur mit sehr netten Besitzern. Die Lage ist ideal, wenn man seine Ruhe haben möchte! Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Zudem können wir den Nightwalk sehr empfehlen. :)

Die Nachtwanderung war super. Die Inhaber waren sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich mit vielen guten Empfehlungen.

Die Anfahrt ist etwas holprig, zumindest das letzte Stück nach dem Zaun, wenn man einen erhöhten SUV besitzt ist aber alles gut.

Ons verblijf bij Crecropia Ecolodge was perfect! De kamer was ruim, schoon, van alle gemakken voorzien en sfeervol ingericht. De eigenaren (Nohelia en Jay) waren heel gastvrij en hadden tips voor activiteiten. We hebben ook de was laten doen en dit was heel fijn! Ook zeker een aanrader was de nighttour door Jay, veel gezien en geleerd! De drie honden en katten waren ook een plus ❤️

ההגעה למקום בשלושה ק"מ אחרונים על דרך עפר בעלייה עם שיפועים חדים..

Nohelia hat uns wie gute Freunde bei sich aufgenommen und uns rund um super versorgt. Das Frühstück war sehr schmackhaft und abwechslungsreich, das Abendessen super. Beim „Nightwalk“ kommt man der Natur wirklich nahe und es ist richtig spannend. Ein großes Danke auch für das geduldige Beantworten aller unserer Fragen und die tollen Tipps für unsere Unternehmungen.

L’emplacement, les conseils, les personnes

Great location in the jungle. You must do the night walk with Jay. Had a lovely dinner there for one night after our night walk. Lovely hosts share all their knowledge of nature and Costa Rica. Planned to spend one night, but stayed for two. Visited the nearby mineral baths in the loud jungle on weekday, and was nearly empty of people. We also saw lizards and other animals there. Off the beaten track, but that’s half the reason for staying there for us. You need a 4WD car to get there, especially the last couple of kms.

Amazing place to see the nature and animals of la Fortuna. Very friendly and nice owners, will help you with all the things. Incredible breakfast, from the terrace you can watch the birds:))) Definitely stay in this place even for one night to see all the flora and fauna of la Fortuna.

All the activities are in la Fortuna town, the way there takes 1 hour. The road to the hotel is not for the beginners-drivers, aspacialy in the dark time. But if you are axpirienced driver and have a car with a high clearance, it is ok. Just one more adventure :)))
