Casitas Del Rio Riverfront Nature Lodge

We had a wonderful stay here next to the river, surrounded by amazing nature: a larger range of birds than we saw at the national parks, lizards, agouti and bats. It was a great location for exploring Nauyaca and other waterfalls, Corcovado, Manuel Antonio, riverboat tour and the surrounding beaches. Restaurants in and around Uvita were easily accessible. Chris was the perfect host. He regaled us with stories at breakfast - not to be missed! Nothing was too much trouble for him.

1. The host was absolutely wonderful. He was very good with communication and providing resources. He gave us detailed instructions on how to get to the property and included pictures. He greeted us as soon as we arrived, gave us a tour of the BEAUTIFUL property, and taught us all about the animals, river, plants, etc. He was a fountain of fun and interesting facts and had the best stories. He also made it so easy to book activities and find good restaurants. Having never been to the area, we greatly appreciated all of his advise, tips, suggestions, and recommendations. 2. We saw some negative reviews about the road to get there, but it was just a dirt road with some bumps. As long as you are paying attention and taking it slow, the road is not an issue. 3. The accommodations were fantastic. The casita was clean, well kept, had excellent water temperature, refreshing A/C, and WIFI that worked great. The pool area was an absolute dream. We would go in the pool every afternoon. We are used to pools being ice cold, but the pool was cold enough to be refreshing and warm enough to stay in for long periods of time. The accent lighting at night was so cozy and inviting. We saw so many kinds of animals on the property. The host was able to tell us what to look for, where to look, and when to look. Toucans, Scarlet Macaw, Jesus Lizards, glow beetles, and so much more.

I have no negative things to say about this property.

The cabin we stayed in was clean, well maintained in a great location. Close to Uvita but far enough away you feel in the jungle. The property has lush trees and flowers and is full of birds and animals. The owner Chris was great in providing information about the area.

Wir wurden sehr offen vom Gastgeber empfangen, er hat uns schon vorab mit vielen Infos per WhatsApp versorgt und bei Ankunft sein kleines Paradis gezeigt. Der schönste Garten den wir je auf Reisen hatten. Man merkt wie viel Herzblut in die kleine Anlage gesteckt wird.

Kaum Ablage im Zimmer in Form eines Schrankes und ein wirklich sehr mageres aber trotzdem Frühstück. Man kann aber was dazu kaufen.

Sehr aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft in mitten der Natur. Sehr freundlicher Gastgeber, der bei der Ankunft eine kleine Tour durch seinen sehr gepflegten Garten anbietet. Grossartige Möglichkeiten für das Beobachten von Vögeln und Wildtieren beim Frühstück, vom Pool, von der Unterkunft. Chris stellt ein Guest Book als Link oder App zur verfügung mit jeder Menge empfehlungen für Touren oder Restaurant in Uvita. Unsere Unterkunft bot alles was es braucht, voll ausgestattet Küche, sehr schönes Bad und einen grossen Schlafraum. Sehr gerne wieder und absolut empfehlenswert!

Prachtig gelegen aan een riviertje en mooie tuin.

Onze handdoeken zijn in 3 dagen nooit verschoond. Ontbijt was 3 x hetzelfde. Ik vind het echt te duur.

This is a one-of-a-kind place to stay and is the perfect distance from uvita but not too far away. The river next door and all the amazing trees, fauna and animals that attracts to view while you are staying or simply amazing. If a casita is available here during the time you want to visit the area it is a booking you should definitely make! The hosts are made our experience from great to exceptional and we will remember our short stay here for a very long time, it was a great memories!

Chambre minimaliste dans ses équipements

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Fleckchen Erde mitten in der Natur. Gute Ausstattung der Unterkunft, super Swimmingpool, zuvorkommender Gastgeber….

Beim Frühstück gäbe es noch Luft nach oben. Jeden Tag Obst, Toast mit Erdbeermarmelade und Rührei. Etwas mehr Abwechslung wäre schön, z. B. Joghurt, Müsli, Spiegelei….
