Sutton Lodge with Hot Tub

The lodge was a mess on arrival, the sofa bed was broken and that uncomfortable we had to share a bed as the person was unable to sleep on this, the beds where also so uncomfortable for the price of the lodge. The hot tub was cold and had hardly any water in it. I was charged £50 for not making our beds when we left. I would not recommend staying on this site, it was one of the worst places I have ever stayed and would not recommended this property.

The lodge was nice a spacious and easily accommodated 8 of us. Inventory was well stocked and the hot tub was great.

The location was superb. The lodge was home from home.

The cleanliness wasn’t 100%. The inside could of been a bit cleaner. Windows, glass front door was smeared as if a child or children had been in before us.

Beautiful spacious lodge with everything in it you would need and right at the edge of one of the small lakes. Even has its own utility room. Sunken sockets in the kitchen island and usb charging points in the bedroom is great for all the technology we had with us. Nice clean sheets in the bed bit was surprised that no mattress cover is used. Hot tub was used a lot so remember your towels. JJ’s do fab food but I would recommend booking as advised. We used The Melbourne Inn as well which is not too far away and the food was fantastic.

More attention to detail on the cleaning front is needed as the toothbrush cup still had the remnants of someone else’s toothpaste in it. Also the space between the toilet seat and lid at the back should have been better cleaned and it really does need a new shower head though the water was lovely and hot. The glass cooker hood needs someone to get up there and clean it as it was covered in dust. A stain on the bedroom carpet needs sorted and I did read about that in a previous post. Could do with some kind of cupboard to put the outside cushions in as there had been rain before we arrived (and during) and the cushions couldn’t be sat on as they held water which was really inconvenient. We had to lift out dining room chairs to enjoy the sun in between times. A parasol like neighbouring property has would be welcome too as it’s hard going when it’s sunny and warm.

A wonderful location and stunning property. The hot tub and decking area was a highlight. The restaurant on site was amazing. Gorgeous food, huge portions and great value for money

There was a strong smell of sewage coming from the en-suite bathroom. The property could have been a bit cleaner, the bedding and carpets had marks and stains.
