Pucontours River Lodge

Magical, secluded location. I stayed in the River House, and it felt like the whole river was mine. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Great location on the river, good breakfast, nice hot-tub with river view that the owner had ready for us at a specific time. Friendly owner.

The booking and payment were for a two bedroom unit for $141 US. The directions provided took us to the lodge on the river. When we got their the owner said that the unit I had booked was not on the river but was in town. He did not offer to adjust the price for the unit that we got, which was advertised on Booking.com for $83 US and was a 1 bedroom with a loft. The description for the unit is false and the price is false. It needs to be changed on Booking.com. To be fair, I would have had no problem with a higher price, but the fact that the listing was inconsistent with the reality is what bothers me. It felt like bait and switch. Our unit was about 30 feet from the road, so you heard a lot of traffic early in the morning. The unit had two heaters, one as part of the AC, but the owner did not show us how to use it.

We stayed in the treehouse it was amazing on the river huge deck overlooking the river. Loved the hot tub also with the great views. Delicious breakfast each morning The kitchen has everything we needed to cook and bbq facilities were so nice to be able to use.

What an amazing location, fantasticly close to the river! The lodge with all its facilities and the delicious breakfast was absolutely perfect and the extremely kind staff made for a very special birthday. The recomendations of Simona and Gonzalo and the activities they provided were all spot on and made our stay here excellent and extremely enjoyable! To top it all off the volcano was very active during our stay, creating a natural fire show every evening.

Amazing location, super helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms - I can't recommend this enough! A beautiful spot by the river. Great value for money.
