Tendinkoto Lodge

Estupendo lugar para descansar en tu recorrido por Gambia. En un entorno precioso y tranquilo pero cerca del pueblo de Sanyang. Puedes llegar andando por la carretera, el camino es agradable y seguro, además en el pueblo la gente es muy amable y puedes comprar muchas cosas para comer (buñuelos, garrapiñadas, ...). Helen es una gran anfitriona y puede cocinarte ricos platos adaptándose a tus preferencias. Además, a nuestra salida nos organizo un taxi a un precio increible. Seguro volveremos con nuestra familia para pasar unos días maravillosos en su hogar observando aves y refrescandonos en las piscina

Beautifully organised and managed, very clean. Helen and Oliver were both lovely and helpful. Helen is a great cook and we enjoyed some gambian food.

We loved every minute of it.

The on-site restaurant exceeded my expectations. Every meal was freshly prepared with local ingredients, and the flavors were simply outstanding! Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the quality and presentation were top-notch. Oliver and Helen are lovely hosts and staff is also superb friendly. My gf and me booked for two nights, but liked it so much, that we stayed 6 nights longer. Best lodge in Sanyang, for sure!

All was wonderful...

We had an incredible stay! Helen, Oliver and their staff couldn't do enough for us and were excellent company. The room was perfect with a large bathroom. Very comfortable and big bed, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a lovely patio to relax. We enjoyed the communal banterbar, where we had some interesting meal times with excellent food, made by both Helen and Oliver. It was also great to have the use of 2 decent bikes during our stay We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tendinkoto and will hopefully visit the lodge again. Thank you to all.

Everything was great

Oh where do I start. The care from the owners, the FOOD delicious, the endless birds in the garden! You will not find a better place wherever you look. The rooms are perfect, non slip showers with all you could wish for. Super comfy bed. Super hospitable hosts. Gong back soon.🙏

Our trip to The Gambia was successful thanks to our hosts Oliver and Helen. We appreciated the spacious room (overlooking the pool), the food (breakfasts, dinners), but most of all the peaceful oasis provided by Tendinkoto, and all the guidance and information provided by Oliver before the trip and during our stay in The Gambia. Our hosts did everything in their power to find a solution for us in all aspects. We would also like to recommend an excellent driver named Ousman. He is reliable, a very good driver and is able to solve any problem that may arise on our way (such as a flat tire during our trip to Senegal). In short, if anyone wants to have a good time in The Gambia, they should stay with Oliver and Helen. In fact, their Lodge is a kind of meeting place of interesting people. Every time we had dinner or breakfast, we could have a interesting discussion.

We were looking for a small, family run concern that offered personal touches and that's exactly what we got at Tendinkoto. Oliver and Helen are a great team and their food (Gambian and European options are available) is delicious. They catered not only for our dietary needs (3 meals a day) but were also great company at our evening meals,when we would sit around the table chatting together. Our room was very spacious and clean and the bed was large and super comfortable. Little touches in the room, e.g. binoculars, torch, playing cards, speaker, were thoughtful additions. A big and beautifully maintained swimming pool was a blessing after a day out birdwatching in the heat. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

There was nothing we didn't like. We're just home and can't wait to return!

This place is really a dream for having a wonderfull Gambia experience. Oliver and Helen are such incredible hosts and beautifull persons. The compund is guiet with beautyful lodges, garden and swimmingpool. Helen is the best Gambian cook !! The bed was perfect and all was so clean and great ! We love the breakfast and dinner and it felt like we were eating in a first class restaurant. We would love to come back and we highly recommend this beautiful place !

From the first moment that Oliver picked us up from the airport, we felt safe and at ease. We stayed here with our 2 children and enjoyed every second of it! Helen and Oliver made us feel like family... The swimming pool, the surrounding, the beautiful little villages and beaches nearby made our stay, one to never forget. Thank you so much!
