Tendinkoto Lodge

You feel immediately at home. The owner Oliver and Helen are great hosts, the kindest people who serve amazing food. We are birdlovers and you can see a lot of species in their garden. They have two bikes that you can use to discover the small town and cycle to the beach. We slept like a baby.

It was a superb stay with super nice hosts! The food and breaky was excellent. If you're looking for an relaxing calm place away from the rest, it's the place to go to. Thanks again will visit again.

The place is like an oaze. With the calm area, beautiful people, nature. And also everything well equipped - inside the room and outside. Helen, Oliver and Cristina are amazing people to have around. They have created a paradise which they are inviting you to.

Exceptional hosts who truly make you feel at home in a peaceful, relaxing setting—perfect for recharging. The rooms are clean and fresh, and I ended up eating all my meals here because the food was delicious. Helen’s fried rice became my lunch favorite, and the dishes served at dinner were always on point. Oliver and Helen- thanks for a very positive first experience of The Gambia. Will be back to Tendinkoto Lodge very soon—highly recommend!

It was a little far from the beach but this was not a problem as a taxi ride was very cheap

No issues were observed that did not meet our needs

I cannot begin to say how wonderful my stay with Oliver and Hele at Tedinkoto Lodge was. Truly, words cannot do justice. The room, pool, and compound were lovely. The best bed, bathroom and sitting area I experienced during my month in West Africa. And each morning, sitting outside my room to watch the birds was the perfect start. Followed by a delicious breakfast and off into town or to the beach. Do yourself a favor and eat your way through all their dinner options. Because, again, this food is as good as five-star restaurants but served in a quiet, serene setting. I only stayed one week, but I will be back soon. If you haven't booked your trip to The Gambia and your stay at this lodge, do it right now. I have stayed all over the world and this has been one of the top experiences in lodging ever. The hosts will go beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. Fantastic hospitality combined with great food and a perfect location!

Nothing only wish I could have been there longer!

Really enjoyable, peaceful and a birdwatchers paradise. Oliver and Helen were exceptional hosts and we will definitely be returning. They cooked us wonderful meals every evening ,the best food that we've eaten in the Gambia. They were great company too. It's a taxi ride to the beach. This place is a hidden gem and a must stay if you are in Sanyang.

Nothing not to like

Very good and well-furnished and tastefully decorated spacious room with wardrobe, very nice bathroom with shower and bathtub, private terrasse with chairs and table. Wonderful garden with nice pool for swimming and cooling down in the middle of the day. Breakfast and dinner was healthy and delicious, freshly prepared by the hosts Helen and Oliver.

Everything was fine and the kind hosts were very knowledgeable and helpful.
