Everything!! Perfectly situated for exploring Orkney. Pods so comfortable and very well thought out. And that view!! Donkey dawn chorus was icing on the cake 😊

Location was beautiful, set up on the hill, with trees (always a bonus in Orkney) Well positioned to enjoy all the places of interest in Orkney and an easy drive to the main town of Kirkwall and ferry terminal. Love the decor and beautiful smell of the lodge as you walk in. Although these lodges are a cosy size, our party of 3 adults and dog settled in very easy and comfortably. Loved the bathroom and shower with on demand hot water, so no waiting for the water to heat up for the next person. Oh and the underfloor heating, so warm for cold toes.

The lodge was well equipped and pretty much had everything you need. Maybe some hooks to hang coats under the Tv where you come in, for when its wet (as it is a lot in Orkney), and a drip tray underneath to catch the wet and place wet footwear, would be helpful. That way you could keep this beautiful, clean and utterly cosy accommodation nice and clean for the very helpful owners.
