"An unforgettable and soul-nourishing experience in Kintamani"

9.0

This place was nothing short of magical. Yes, it’s a bit off the beaten path and not the easiest to access, but that’s precisely what makes it so special. If you’re looking to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature, human kindness, and yourself, this is where you need to go. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, Wi, in particular, was the most wonderful host. He truly went above and beyond to take care of us throughout our entire stay. Every evening, we gathered around the fire with our Balinese friends, sharing stories, laughter, and moments of genuine connection. They were kind, generous, and deeply caring, the kind of people who remind you what real hospitality feels like. The views are breathtaking, perched in nature with a front-row seat to the surrounding beauty of Kintamani. And if you’re planning on hiking Mount Batur, the location is ideal, just a short drive from the starting point of the trek. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s an experience that stays with you. I wholeheartedly recommend it, eyes closed and heart open.

"The place you would remember for long time"

9.0

It was really pleasant stay with the spectacular view and good staff. View from the room was good and breakfast was room-serviced, which was very nice. Especially the presence of Darsana made us relaxed and comfortable because he did his best to help around with many things. We thank him for that. Even though there are several inconveniences, the place is worthwhile visiting and staying with the bonus of beautiful smiles of local people and children.

"It was one of the nicest/most peaceful places I stayed in in Bali"

10.0

Great scenery , polite and professional staff, peace and quiet , spend time with nature, cats, birds, etc

I saw one big roach in the bathroom. I tried to get one of the cats to hunt it down (pest control ) but it didn’t work . So just had to be very cautious in the bathroom after that to avoid the roach .

"A Nightmare at Batur Cliff Panorama” – A True Horror Story"

1.0

“A Nightmare at Batur Cliff Panorama” – A True Horror Story If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience—one that will haunt your dreams and leave you questioning reality—then look no further than Batur Cliff Panorama. Our stay (or rather, our attempted stay) was nothing short of a horror movie, just without the escape at the end. Chapter 1: The Arrival – A Gateway to the Unknown After an exhausting journey, we arrived at the property, expecting a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Instead, we were greeted by… nothing. No staff. No check-in. Just silence, as if the place had been abandoned years ago. We stood there, bags in hand, staring at the eerie, empty reception area. A single flickering lightbulb buzzed overhead, casting long, unsettling shadows. We waited. And waited. Nobody came. Chapter 2: The Room of Flies After what felt like an eternity, someone finally appeared—looking more confused than welcoming. We were led to what was supposed to be our room, and as the door creaked open, a wave of damp air and decay hit us. Then we saw them. Flies. Everywhere. They buzzed around the room like restless spirits, crawling on the bed, circling the single, cracked mirror. Was this a hotel room? Or had we stumbled into the set of a paranormal investigation show? Chapter 3: The Vanishing Amenities Ah, the mini bar—a delightful promise on the Booking.com listing. We opened it with hope, only to find… nothing. Completely empty. Like the ghost of a luxury that once existed. The dining options? Also non-existent. Hope you enjoy starving in the middle of nowhere! We thought, “At least we can relax by the pool.” Oh, how naive we were. The pool was green, its murky waters hiding whatever lurked beneath. No chairs. No guests. Just a stagnant, festering swamp. Chapter 4: Cut Off From the World Perhaps the scariest part? No internet. No warnings about it beforehand, just a complete and total cutoff from civilization.

I must say, the experience was truly one-of-a-kind. The room full of flies, the non-existent minibar, the green, unusable swimming pool, and of course, the lack of internet all contributed to an unforgettable stay—oh wait, I didn’t actually stay, because the property never checked us in. Minor detail.

"OK but issues with the owner and tour companies operating in the area"

5.0

The two staff on-site were very friendly and helpful. The view is nice and the pool good. The room was ok and fair for the price we paid.

It's kind of a weird set-up. We had pre-booked a Mt Batur trip with a third party provider, only to be told they couldn't come and pick us up at the property because "the owner is part of the mafia". After the trip they did drop us off and the owner came out extremely hostile. The vibe was just off, especially as we were a group with kids travelling with us, it made us uncomfortable. But the staff working there are friendly and kind and assisted us with transport down to the lake and back. Be aware that it's a walk to get anywhere down (and up again) a big hill and not a lot of restaurants or anything around. Yes there are flies but there are EVERYWHERE in Kintimani so not specific to this hotel.
