Shepherds Tree Game Reserve

We loved absolutely everything about this place . It’s our 3rd visit and it keeps on getting better and better . Our field Guide Helen was amazing . The food is to die for . Exceptional service from the staff .

Foi a melhor experiencia em lodges que tivemos. Gostamos da hospitalidade, da boa vontade da equipe em fazer tudo ser perfeito, com especial carinho queremos agradecer a equipe do restaurante que nos esperou terminar de assistir ao jogo do joão fonseca e servir o jantar quando todos ja tinham ido dormir.

Toda a experiência foi maravilhosa, o que nos deixou pensativos foi a distancia. O transfer para o lodge saindo do aeroporto de Joanesburgo tem um custo elevado. Mas nós fariamos tudo de novo sem nada a reclamar

The staff, food and service were exceptional.

Almost everything. The staff was friendly, alwasys went the extra mile and were well trained. The General manager must be praised as she obviously runs an excellent establishment. All meals were exceptional!

1)I did not like the confusion regarding what is included in the 'all inclusive' bill, twice we asked if this qualified as a local wine and were told yes...only to receive a bill for payment. Now I don't mind paying at all, I would just like to know upfront. 2)the game ranger was Nyiko and he was dynamic, enjoyed his job and fun. It would be appreciated if we knew that we were only entitled to one drink during the sundowners. The bottle if Klipdrift was left on the table and my husband and another guest had another shot to keep warm. Nyiko proceeded to tell them 3 times that we would be charged for it...at various times, and it was quite embarassing. Again, we paid for it without complaining but there was no need to go on about it! just left a sour taste and the tip we were planning to give Nyiko vanished too. 3)I dont know if it was because we were local...but we were asked repeatedly if were part of the inclusive package before things were brought us. I know we earn in Rand, but if we booked this lodge...I think we are ok financially.

Beautiful location, perfect Rooms, great Ford and very kind staff. Safaris were great with Ellen.

Our stay was too short. Plan at least 4 days!
