Waterside Retreat With Hot Tub

The lodge is lovely and relatively private.. The bedrooms are at opposite ends with the living room and kitchen in the centre which means there is lots of space. The wrap around veranda is huge too, and secure if you're bringing a dog.

The promo photos give the impression the lodge has a lake view but it doesn't. The lake is just around the corner which was disappointing as it was one of the main reasons for booking. The jets were only working on one side of the hot tub, and a green tide mark kept appearing on the water line. So that could do with some attention. The general surfaces are clean but it could do with a deep clean to get rid of the cobwebs, etc. Generally fine though and I would consider booking again.

I stayed at the lodge stated above on 11th August, our checkout date was 13th august, however we decided to check out on the morning of 12th august due to poor service provided and poor hygiene and cleanliness of the lodge it self. We paid £593 for a 2 night stay which ended up being less than a 24 hours stay due to the bad condition of the lodge. - The sofas in the lodge had a strong smell of urine which was unbearable. Therefore we couldn’t use the sofa bed to sleep on due to the stench. - The plastic cover of the sofa bed had holes in. - The spare duvets in the cupboards were stained yellow/brown and had a strong smell. Which shows they had not been washed. We couldn’t use that either. - The bedroom with the two single beds- one of the beds had a hole on the duvet cover. - The hot tub had dead bugs in it. Overall, we didn’t have a good experience. This was something we were really Looking forward to and it has let us down

Lovely lodge, really quiet. Great space inside and out. Furnished really nice and was very comfortable. On-site restaurant is fantastic, great base for sightseeing, loads to do in the local area.

Lodge was advertised as a waterside retreat but is no where near the water and has no view of the water at all. Also used as a short cut constantly by site staff so had buggies running past us all day and evening.

loved how spacious it was loved the modern kitchen and living area bathroom was clean bed was comfy

didn’t like the outdoor seating, wasn’t very comfortable could do with a parasol to block the sun on hot days as it was boiling. could of been a bit cleaner as there was a few cobwebs, dust and marks in living area

it was very homely and the little touches like coffee/milk were useful. all very comfortable

Good location. Decent size cabin.

Hot tub had some dirt left in it. Found a stale bread bun in a draw Alot of doghair on the floors.

Had everything you could possibly need! decorated lovely, felt so comfortable here.

Some cutlery needed a re-wash as was left dirty but it’s only a minor thing. Everything else was spotless
