La Luna Cabins

Cosy and rustic little cabin just outside of Nuwara Eliya and very close to lovers leap waterfall. Very quiet and peaceful area with amazing views. Kushan and his mother were amazing hosts - so helpful and kind (they even made us a takeaway breakfast for our hike to Hortons plains and got up at 5am to give it to us)

We enjoyed our stay overall but a few details made it less than perfect. It was very windy when we stayed and the cabin's corrugated iron wall / roof makes a lot of noise in the wind. Also there was no curtain on the door window which let a lot of light from the street light in. Both of these things meant we had a less than ideal nights sleep. The water heater didnt heat the water of the shower very well. The Booking listing says that the place has WiFi, but that wasn't the case (we had data though, so not a big issue)

Kushan was always taking care of my stay. He creates very good excursions and I felt very well in the place. Everything was so clean and the food was so delicious.

Amazing place to stay, the hosts were lovely. They gave us recommendations on hikes, places to eat, sightseeing etc which were all good value for money. I would highly recommend staying here, thank you!

Le personnel était très accueillant et agréable, nous avons suivi leur recommandations et c’était parfait ! Le logement est très atypique, la vue de la mezzanine est très sympa. Le petit déjeuner très bon également, le gérant avait prévu de venir nous récupérer à la gare via un ami, tout s’est bien déroulé

L’emplacement est assez excentré du centre de Nuwara Eliya, le logement n’est pas bien isolé, le vent frappe fort (cependant cela ne nous a pas empêché de dormir)

Hele vriendelijke eigenaar met zijn moeder. Leuk huisje. Diner was een heerlijk verzorgde Sri lankaanse diner! Ontbijt met Sri lankaanse hapjes, maar ook lekker brood met jam en een eitje. Vergeet geen trui, sokken om mee te nemen. Omgeving iets kouder dan elders in Sri Lanka

Personal molt amable i atent, ens han ajudat a preparar excursions i reservar desplaçaments. Ens han preparat un esmorzar molt complet i bo. Tot era molt net, bona relació qualitat-preu.

Ens ha agradat tot. Queda una mica lluny del centre però molt a prop per fer alguna ruta per les plantacions de tè.

És un lloc peculiar. És molt petit, sobretot el lavabo, i a la nit fa molt fred. S’agrairia un calefactor, tot i que la manta, un cop al llit, escalfa molt. L’esmorzar era boníssim!

El fred que feia, sobretot a la dutxa. S’escoltaven totes les converses de la parella que estava a la planta de dalt. Necessites el tuk tuk per anar al centre. Com a tots els hotels de Sri Lanka, entra molta llum a l’habitació perquè no utilitzen cortines opaques.

Mooie ligging tussen de theevelden. Je kan van hieruit direct starten voor een korte wandeling richting de Lover’s Leap waterval. De eigenaar Kushan is heel vriendelijk en helpt je met vervoer richting station. Het is een Cabin, dus verwacht geen grote luxe maar de bedden liggen goed en onze zoon vond het bed op het zolderkamertje heel leuk. We kregen van de moeder van Kushan een handig take away ontbijt mee voor op de ochtendtrein. Met een gezin van 4 reserveer je best de hele cabin voor wat ruimte te hebben. Aanrader!
