Sigiri Lake Paradise

Couldn’t rate this place any higher - easily one of the best locations we’ve ever stayed. Incredible views, hospitality from Chami and family was second to none and authentic Sri Lankan food for breakfast & dinner. Chami went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and staying with him was the highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Lake swims , ‘Chamis Rock’ hike , fresh fruit from the garden - we loved every minute of it. We hope to come back again some day to experience this little slice of paradise again. Thanks again to Chami & family for their hospitality and kindness to us when we stayed.

Emplacement top, les propriétaires sont extrêmement accueillants et chaleureux et nous ont fait partager des moments avec eux comme pêcher par exemple. Repas authentiques et très bons. Confort suffisant pour nous.

Wir waren 4 Nächte hier und würden auch empfehlen, mindestens 2 Nächte zu bleiben. Die Unterkunft ist super schön gelegen. Direkt am See mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf den Lions Rock. Die Liebe Hündin Tani wachte jede Nacht vor unserem Zimmer und sorgte mit ihrem fröhlichen Wesen für schöne Momente. Aber auch der Rest der Familie ist uns in der kurzen Zeit ans Herz gewachsen. Liebe geht bekanntlich durch den Magen und so verzauberte uns unsere Gastmutter mit abwechslungsreichen Köstlichkeiten. Ihre liebevolle Gastfreundschaft zeigte sich auch in der cooking class und einer interessanten Tour durch die Nachbarschaft. Wir vermissen die Familie, die Hunde und die Aussicht vom Felsen schon jetzt. Vielen vielen Dank für wundervolle vier Tage im Lake Paradise.

Wir hätten uns nur gewünscht, noch mehr mit der Familie in Kontakt zu kommen. Zum Beispiel durch gemeinsames Essen oder kleine Ausflüge. Nach den ersten zwei Tagen wurde alles sehr locker und es war beinahe so, als wäre man bei seiner eigenen Familie zu Besuch.

Honestly, the absolute highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka! Out of all 7 weeks in Sri Lanka our 3 nights here were the best, and it was 90% due to this Homestay!!! We felt amazingly at home! Chamika was WONDERFUL. He hiked up to pidurangula with us and brought us surprise coffee in a coconut, and didn’t ask for anything in return! We did a cooking class and ate some of the best food ever, and chamika went to swim in a lake with us! The room was as exactly as described with comfortable beds. The breakfast was amazing everyday and just laying on the rock with a view of the lake was stunning! Overall if I could rate this place 1000 stars I would! Thank you guys so much!

It was amazing! Literally nothing to dislike

Vores ophold her var intet mindre end fantastisk! Værterne var utroligt imødekommende og hjertevarme – vi følte os som en del af familien fra dag ét. De hjalp os med at planlægge den næste del af vores rejse, kørte os til og fra aktiviteter, og gav os så mange gode lokale tips, vi aldrig ville have fundet selv. En af højdepunkterne var helt klart madlavningen – vi lærte at lave flere lækre retter sammen med dem, og det var både sjovt, lærerigt og virkelig lækkert. Alt var gennemført, rent og hyggeligt – men det er menneskene bag stedet, der gør det til noget helt særligt. Vi kan kun give vores varmeste anbefalinger og håber at vende tilbage en dag!

We stayed at Sigiri Lake Paradise for part of our honeymoon and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The family who runs the place was so warm, kind, and generous we immediately felt at home. The location is peaceful and scenic, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and slow down. We especially loved the home-cooked meals (don’t miss the cooking lesson!) and the sunrise hike, both of which were unforgettable experiences. This stay gave us the calm and reset we needed after the wedding. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and can’t recommend this place enough.
