Atha Safari Resort & Riverside Camping

The first time I stayed in a camping area was one of my most memorable holidays in Sri Lanka. The nature surrounding this place makes you feel like you're living in a forest. The mud house is clean and the beds are very comfortable. It will take you 15 minutes to get to Udawalawa National Park and 10 minutes to get to the elephants transit home. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and I want to thank Asanka [ Owner ], Dewa and Janka was the most impressive safari guide I have ever witnessed. To ensure you have the best safari experience, please request Janaka. Without a doubt, I will come back again.

Amazing location, super nice hosts, the king bedroom is very beautiful. We had to book with them last minute, very late in the afternoon and the hosts made everything possible and they have even prepared a good dinner for us.

Some of the rooms are very close to each other and you can easily hear your neighbours.

A beautiful, relaxing resort with an amazing host Asanka, who made our stay just perfect.

This place is very unique right on the river itself. The safari we did was amazing and our guide was super helpful and knowledgeable. The owners prepared some lovely food for us on arrival, and they were very friendly and keen to help.

We had some rather noisy neighbours and the tent walls are thin as expected. It was unfortunate and not the owners fault but a polite reminder that other guests can hear everything might help in the future.

It was so great staying here. We are sorry that we stayed only one night. The houses are amazing, the river is passing and animals sounds, real jungle.

The rooms were overlooking a river with access to swim. External areas were beautifully decorated and kept tidy Don’t forget mosquito repellent for the tiny midges ! Host was very helpful organising a jeep safari with English speaking driver who took us deep into jungle to see many different animals in their authentic setting rather than just elephants near the entrance

Full day Safari included breakfast and lunch, both were very basic. For the Safari price would expect higher quality - suggest a stir fried rice with vegetables or a vegetable noodle soup

Très bel hôtel, bien situé, juste 6/7 chambres, vraiment cosy. La rivière passe à côté, on peu même d’y baigner Le personnel au petit soin.

Les cailloux ( pied nu) font mal aux pieds.

Wunderschön hergerichtete Anlage mit ganz viel Liebe zu Detail. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und mit allem versorgt, was wir brauchten. Das Frühstück war großzügig und lecker. Auch zum Abendessen wurden wir landestypisch versorgt. Die Safari, welche wir über die Unterkunft gebucht war atemberaubend.
