CNThe breakfast is amazing, very tasty with multiple choice. The location is great! 10 min walk to the ski lift and 6 min walk to bus terminal and center of the town. The Onsen just 2 min away, it's so convenient and great! I just love it.
Nothing, everything is good. Just a bit pity didn't able to eat dinner at the property, I will definitely try next time :)

CHRather well positioned; walking distance from lifts and slopes ; have a small fitness room (not well furnished but at least have one)
Guesthouse not proper lodge; Only shared bathrooms/toilets/showers; plain rooms with not even a sink or a toilet; Showers only if booked well in advance (lodge insists on 24h before ..); unsuited for people above 190cm .. door frames and beds are too short … very picky and unfriendly way of pointing on house rules (which are not a problem .. but the way they are recalled ..) foreigners seem to be not very welcomed.. only tolerated
USMarushige was such a cozy stay for our few days skiing in Nozawaonsen. The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. They made you feel right at home. Although there was not an ensuite bathroom, their baths are like mini onsens - Nice and roomy shower rooms with a hot tub in there! Located only a 5 minute walk from the Nagasaka gondola and they give you a 10% discount on renting from Ski Thanx, right by the gondola. Really wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again!
No bathrooms in your room was a little weird and the beds weren't the comfiest thing I've slept in, but otherwise, this is a
AUAUUSThe staff, location, and cleanliness of Marushige was excellent! Everything was very organized and the shared bathrooms were not an issue as they were very clean and easily reserved. The feel is quite traditional Japanese with floor mats for beds and slippers provided for indoor use, but provided that's not a dealbreaker I thought it was a wonderful place to stay
Staying over new years wasn't cheap, although I'm not sure there would be any better deals in Nozawa Onsen, so there wasn't really anything I was unhappy with.
SGThe staff of Marushige were fantastic and made a really great time. They won't hesitate to assist you during your stay. Location is close enough to the mountain and main street while not being around the noise.
JPThe breakfast was really delicious and the perfect start to a day of skiing. The Japanese style room was cosy and very clean. Seiko-san and everyone working at the guest house were really helpful and welcoming. The location is also perfect especially after we realised how easy it was to walk to the gondola instead of taking the shuttle bus, which was also easy.
