Walk Cloud Bed and Breakfast

Amazing area to explore and an excellent team! Loved the breakfast and dinner set ups too. Take a scooter or car to explore the area otherwise you'll be somewhat stranded. The manager provided some excellent recommendations and directions and we saw so much of the area.

More information/guidance before arriving (or upon booking) on whats required to (a) get there and (b) transport required to get around the area would be very useful! That said, the boss lent us his scooter which was immense and greatly appreciated!

We loved our stay at Walking in the Clouds BnB. It is a lovely BnB tucked in the mountains of the Alishan region. It has an incredible view with large, well equipped rooms. The hosts are so welcoming and kind. They are really helpful and generous and made sure we had everything we needed and more for our stay. The breakfast and dinner were exceptional- we particularly loved the hotpot dinner and ice cream freezer!

It’s a little difficult to find if you are driving there. For foreign travellers, make sure you put the address into Google maps in Chinese characters.

The view was amazing. The staff and owner of the bnb were very helpful and knowledgeable about the hiking routes. They picked us up from the bus stop and train station close to the bnb. The place was clean and the environ very pleasant. Thank you Mr Xie and Xiao Yang for your hospitality.

The guest house owner treated us like family. When my mom sprained her ankle on the tea farm behind the guest house, the owner provided the ice pack right away and helped us deal with the issue. He even generously gave us the expensive ointment made in Japan. And thanks for the proper first aid, my mom did feel much better next day. Btw, the mountain road of heading back down was super challenging for me, thus, I ask for the designated driving services. The guest house staff efficiently arranged it for us. For me, the staying experience was comfortable and great.

nice ambience with tea plantations behind the building and great views from the balcony. The set up feels home-y with a nice courtyard to relax and sit under the stars

had asked for a higher floor upon check in but was told that booking.com guests get only the lower floor. couldn’t quite understand this ?!
