The Bull Moose Lodge

Check-in is in the bar area which was OK, but different. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but there were no chairs and the mattress sagged badly. No breakfast was served which I would have expected at this price point ($200 a night) or at least a voucher at a nearby cafe.

My wife and I were taken to this saloon by friends from nearby Thayne. What a treat! The decor is 100% western and there are visual delights everywhere. We sat by the huge fireplace and had a beer. It is a great place if you want to experience the "Old West". We were not in the hotel, just the bar/dining area.

Stopped in during a road trip for lunch. Set inside a billard hall/liquor store/bar/ restaurant. You can smell the smoker from the parking lot, mouth watering. Burgers are made there, cooked perfectly. Try the Alpine burger, terrific combo of flavors. Fries are crisp, good crust, served with fry sauce on the side. Salada are large and fresh. Billsrd room has some games for kids, bar and liquor store are away from games snd restaurant. Good, country food. Service prompt.

Absolutely by pass this place. My husband and I booked a 2 night stay. The rooms were average and it took over an hour to get checked in. We decided to have lunch in the bar/ restaurant. Our waitress was very rude as my husband and I ordered. My husband asked the lady behind the bar with short brown hair on what local beers they had. She angrily replied I don’t care what beer you order. Once our lunch arrived she slammed our food on the bar rolled her eyes We were not given any napkins or condiments. A customer at the bar smiled politely and gave us what we needed. Maybe this girl was having a bad day but I noticed that she treated other customers the same. Making hateful comments to other customers The food was sub par. The rooms were not very clean So for the price of the Hotel lousy wait staff and overpriced food. Run!

Move on to something else. We had reservations for over 45 days. Called to verify again. We arrived and would not honor reservations. Talked to another couple and they to were denied their reservations. I am looking for the owner of this dump.

Don't waste your time. The staff sucks, the service sucks, the drinks suck and the food sucks. You'd be wise to just keep driving by. This review is not because of one visit. This is from numerous visits and every time you think you will give them a chance it is a BIG disappointment. I'm truly sorry I had to leave a review like this but beware because this place and staff is a HUGE disappointment.

This place was disgusting, chips on the floor with salsa, water in the sink. We checked in at 5:30 and check in time was 4. The room only had the linens changed, everything else was filthy. I complained to both housekeeping and the desk clerk and the floor was swept but no washing so the salsa and still some chips left. Do not stay here it is not clean and they do not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two friends and I went for a drive and stopped for a sandwich at the Bull Moose. Absolute worst food we have ever been served. My “brisket” sandwich wasn’t brisket at all but horribly fatty roast beef with no flavor. I couldn’t eat the sandwich at all. Never stopping again.

I needed a place to stay overnight with my dog during a long road trip. I thought the place looked cute and full of personality from the photos. Well the reality was a much different story. First of all, there was no soap in the room. No soap while COVID is still out here ruining lives...? There were Dorito crumbs and pubic hair on the bathroom floor. The hairdryer had long hairs stuck in it. And the most disgusting thing was the coffee maker had dead bugs in it. I feel like housekeeping just made the beds and replaced the bathroom linens, but didn’t bother to actually clean or disinfect anything. Very scary when there’s still a full blown pandemic happening.

Pet friendly lodging that was mostly clean and a bit rustic. Interior was nicely appointed with wood throughout. The bedding...as always, I am a bit skeptical of and our dogs were certainly sniffing the coverlet like crazy which was disconcerting. Customer service was sub-par. Our room was not ready at check-in time We were given the key but didn't need it as the door was open, bed unmade, dirty towels, full garbage. Obviously this room didn't get prepped. Thankfully, after telling us we would have to wait, (it was 97 degrees out-I was ready for a/c) the manager put us in another room. I gave it a rating of 3 but really 2 1/2 would be better.
