Pension Tomato

Pension Tomato was exactly as described and we had a great stay! We were picked up from the bus station and dropped back off with a stop to ship skis which was very helpful. We also got breakfast one day which was really good - omelet, breads, soup, salad, yogurt, fruit. The place was so cozy with a wood fire burning, and the private onsens were so nice after being out in the snow all day. The location was close to everything in Echoland and easy to take the shuttle to the ski areas.

The rooms are a bit small which we knew ahead of time, and there's not really any storage to help organize our things. It was really nice to have the drying room for all of our ski things though!

Great location - walking distance to food and ski gear in Echoland. Onsite hot springs were lovely after a day on the slopes. Deluxe apartment was a great size for our family of 4. Complimentary pick up and drop off from bus station made life easier.

Wonderful accomodation in Echoland, lots of restaurants and cafes (make bookings though!), and very close to the main street. Onsite private onsen, lovely owners. We had a private apartment for family of 5. It was a little tight for space for our family, but had excellent amenities. Owners provided shuttle to and from JR hakuba station on our arrival and departure, and were very kind and helpful when our kids broke a window pane (which of course we paid for). Would recommend.

The Pension Tomato has cosy and clean rooms and is in a great location in Echoland. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful, and the onsens were highlight. It’s also cery close to the shuttle bus stop and restaurants.

Close to the main road, amazingly friendly staffs, good size room with bath. Fridge, washing machine, ensuite bath, big kitchen space were available. We had 4 single beds in our room and was big enough for all 4 of us. The bed was comfortable too. The onsen in the shared area was also nice. You had to make reservations in advance to secure a 45min slot. One was only inside but the other had both inside and outside baths.

The owners were very nice, great location and clean facilities. Private onsen was amazing after a day of skiing.

If I had to mention one thing, the mattresses were a bit soft in the middle and tend to roll into the dip while sleeping.

Brilliant hosts, only minutes away from cafes and restaurants and extremely close to shuttle bus for Hakuba 47 and Happo Land. Returning from skiing each day to enjoy the onsen was also a big highlight!
