Location rather rural, not much more to see than the train bridge

the location was AMAZING!! just a few mins walk down to the nine arch bridge and THE VIEW!!! the room was reallt comfortable we slept so good even with the trains passing every few hours!! the 5 dollar breakfast was SO GOOD as well!

One of the best hotels I stayed at in Sri Lanka! I loved the room; it was beautifully equipped with all the facilities, and the view was incredible! The hosts were super nice and helpful. We were too tired to go out for food, and they kindly brought us dinner, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I would love to return someday soon!

This will be the best stay during your Sri Lanka trip. The most friendly hosts, they arranged everything for us without being pushy trying to sell their services. The breakfast was fantastic and served right on your balcony. The view is to die for and the balcony is perfectly suited to take it all in. Very clean and big room (it’s a lot better than the pictures show). We hope to come back here someday.

That you won’t want to leave the homestay, due to the view, balcony and hosts.

Very welcoming family, that can help with everything you need. Breakfast is ok. Nice view on the hills, away from Ella’s traffic and noise. The owners can drive you via tuk tuk anywhere very fast.

Smelly bathroom when we were there.

Amazing cabin with view right in front of the 9 arch. We could time our visit there through our room balcony and see when it was less crowded. With just a 5 min walk down the hill and you are right there.

Breakfast could be better

Best view in Ella. Such a lovely spot to chill and enjoy the view. The family are lovely and gave us lifts in and out of town whenever we needed. Bit in the middle of nowhere but that’s where the view is!

Amazing view of Nine Arch Bridge! You can sit overlooking the train from the comfort of your own balcony. Comfortable and cosy room, with hot water. The highlight is the hosts, who were so friendly and helpful! We had a great stay here and would recommend.

The view and the place was fantastic! very clean and a great place to see the bridge. The host brother drove us around drinking vodka....

Please be aware and take care of yourself! The host tried to cancel 10 hours before the stay, but wouldn't involve booking.com. They wanted to know everything about where we where going, not to help, but to make more money, not very friendly. The day before, they tried providing us with a "cheap" transfer, but on the the day it was, suddenly more expensive than a taxi in the city. He had his bother drive us around, he was drinking vodka strait from the bootle, and had trouble staying in his lane. After they tried to get 30% more of the agreed price. Very greedy people, and do not care about you, only your money.
