Nimsara Lodge Sigiriya

It was nice time in Sigiriya 🥰 we loved the accommodation and the owner is lovely. The room has enough space, clean and the beds are huge with comfortable mattresses. It is located in a quiet area, the air is so fresh at night time so we sleep without fan. Morning breakfast cooked with love by owner’s wife, always fresh coconut roti, eggs and fresh fruits. Thank u guys. We really enjoy our time at your place.

I stayed at this lovely guest house for three nights, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with a bottle of water and a refreshing drink, a thoughtful touch that I really appreciated. The guest house is family-run, and you can feel the warmth and care they put into making guests feel at home. All the family was very kind, polite, and incredibly helpful. They organized a tour for me to Pollonnaruwa at a very reasonable price, much more affordable than other options I found around. Breakfast was another highlight: plentiful, homemade, and prepared with fresh ingredients, I really enjoyed it! The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and if you need a tuk-tuk or any other assistance, they are always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it’s a charming and welcoming place with excellent service. Highly recommended!

Everything

The family that owns the apartments is incredibly friendly and always available if you need anything. We are truly grateful to have met them and stayed at their place. The room was clean, with enough space for two large suitcases and three backpacks. Traveling with a child, we especially appreciated how much she enjoyed exploring their yard and the surroundings. Breakfast was delicious, and Nimsara’s mom always made sure to prepare something suitable for our little girl as well. Just a few minutes away, there are several great restaurants—especially Wihara Restaurant, where you must try their curry and kottu. There is also an emergency clinic nearby; our child had contact with a caterpillar, so we went for advice, and the staff was very kind and helpful. Before visiting Pidurangala Rock, I read online that it’s best to go with a guide (especially with a child) and that we would need headlamps or flashlights. In reality, the path is well-lit, and no extra assistance is needed, even if you're not in great shape. We had asked Nimsara’s brother to accompany us since we weren’t aware of this, and we are very grateful for his help—such a caring family! Yes, you may find a few frogs in the bathroom, but remember, you're in nature! They won’t jump on you or bother you—they just stay in their place. We had a wonderful experience at Nimsara Lodge and would love to visit again!

Nimsara and his family are all wonderful people. They received me with tea even though I arrived pretty late in the evening. They will help you arrange anything you might want to do there. The breakfast was also delicious throughout my stay. The room is very clean and it was the best bathroom I had during my stay in Sri Lanka

Everything was perfect! This is a family owned business. The location was perfect, in Sigiriya, close to national parks and Lions Rock, and also close to many nice bars and restaurants. The house is placed in a beautiful garden, where you can watch some small animals like squirrels, birds and monkeys. The brakefast was big and amazing. The family was super nice and sweet, we felt very good in their home. Also they organised us a safari for a good price, and we saw many elephants. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect

The hosts were some of the nicest, most considerate and helpful people we met on our trip. The food they prepared was always delicious and the location itself was wonderful with wildlife on your doorstep and off the thoroughfare, making it the perfect place to rest after a busy day.

Great breakfast. Friendly, welcoming and helpful family. Good location if you have motorbike. Private property, no traffic noise.

Too many frogs in the bathroom. Shower water was not hot enough. High humidity in the room.

The lodge is close to the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress making it a convenient choice. Surrounded by nature, the lodge provides a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The home-cooked meals served at the lodge are a highlight. The pricing is resonable for the quality of accommodation and services offered.

The property could benefit from upgrades in its utilities. Being surrounded by nature, insects like mosquitoes and bugs can be an issue. Limited Wi-Fi or mobile signal might be frustrating.
