Nimsara Lodge Sigiriya

Property located in a beautiful location with lots of trees and plants. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Room and bathroom were clean. Mosquito net over bed. Staff accommodated meal requests.

Poor ventilation in rooms and no window screens. Room had damp issues so if you are sensitive/allergic, it might be uncomfortable. Room shared wall with adjacent room and sound from neighbors, including snoring, can be heard. Room has AC available but extra charge (as noted during reservation). Hosts do not provide drinking water but they will sell it to you. Credit cards not accepted for payment.

Lovely friendly host family available to look after your every need. Great clean and comfortable room and bathroom in the quiet garden with private access. Big breakfast and also recommend eating in for dinner. Five minute walk to highway where there is a supermarket, bakery and cafe. Short Tuktuk ride to the Lion Rock or about 30 minutes walk down the back road to locals entrance.

Kindness, location and cleanness

The room is spacious, very clean, with a nice hot shower and the bed was big and comfortable! For this price, the quality is very good! The family is also very friendly. Location is a 5 minute drive from the centre, which was no problem for us because we had our own tuktuk. It is a quiet and calm location, and you can see hornbills and other animals in the garden! The breakfast was traditional and good, but maybe they can ask guests what they would like more/less and adjust a little.

My room was spacious, very clean and modern. The hosting family is very precious, making the best breakfast and welcome drink you could possibly ask for — protect these people at all costs, they are gold!

Two bungalow-rooms in a beautiful garden run and own by a local family. We had a really nice stay, breakfast with fresh fruits and traditional dishes. The hosts were friendly and very helpful, they gave us useful recommendations and even cooked for us a delicious local dinner and organized a fantastic safari in the Hurulu Eco Park. We can only recommend it!

Hospitality was great!!, Welcome drink with the refreshing towels was very soothing after a long day travel. Stayed there for 2 days with a toddler and felt like home through out the stay. They were kind enough to customize Breakfast for my daughter. Great food and friendly hosts ☺️
