If you're looking for a place to stay in or near Utrecht, look no further! This lovely little cottage right by the water has everything you need, including free WiFi and even Netflix. There's a tram stop right outside too, so you can get into the city centre in no time. Also, the owner - Anthony - is the kindest man you'll ever meet! He greeted me with a drink of my choosing and a cookie upon arrival, and offered to make me coffee for the road when I left. I couldn't recommend this stay more and hope I get to return one day :)

The location was quite nice — not too far from the city center, which was easily reachable by bike in about 15 minutes. The host was friendly and communicative.

• The house was extremely poorly maintained. The bathroom and toilet were in especially terrible condition — so bad that we couldn’t even take a proper shower. • Because of the state of the place, we ended up leaving after just one night, even though we had originally booked for two. • The items and furniture provided were clearly old and worn out — it felt like everything we were given was just the used leftovers from the owner’s own belongings. • At €150 per night (a total of €300 for two nights), the value for money was shockingly low. I never expected the place to be in such a neglected condition. • I’ve stayed in many cozy places before — including one that was a small guesthouse next to an old building — and they were spotless and beautifully maintained. This one was the complete opposite. • The concept of “cozy” here seems to mean “used and uncared for.”

The landlord was the nicest, kindest person you can imagine. He was extremely helpful and friendly and provided an excellent breakfast. The accommodation is next to a canoe rental and very close to the city, and has everything in the kitchen and living room you could ask for.

Everything was just perfect.

Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic proximity to a multitude of amenities. The tram offers access to the train which offers access to so many places. There are plenty of games and home-like qualities that make it easy to utilize for a while. All involved in the cabin (Anthony, Robert, and sweet Katje) are very warm, friendly, helpful, and welcoming! As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and safe.

The cabin can definitely sleep one or a close couple, but if you don't plan on sharing a bed, you may have difficulty. The shower does not have a basin, which I personally did not mind, but may be an adjustment for some. PLEASE be careful on the stairs if you are not used to narrow ladder-like stairs!!!!!!

Excellent location, right beside tram line which brought you into the town centre in minutes. The host was very helpful all round.
