Muriwai Lodge

We brought our own breakfast, as we're used to staying away. Not having been to Muriwai for many years, it was lovely staying there this time and exploring a bit.

Wasnt too happy about the stairs, but got a lovely surprise when we got up there.

Good location to the golf club and beach and walking trails. My cabin was spacious and had everything I needed to cook a meal. The cool store close by is a bar and a small shop. Very popular with the locals.

Beautifully furnished, spacious cabin, short drive to Muriwai Beach and gannet colony.

Great spot! Felt far away but still only 10 mins to the next town over to the supermarket and only 5 mins drive to the beach.

Good location, just up the road from Muriwai Beach. The cottage is simple but very clean and comfortable, with an amazing view from the deck area. The deli/restaurant next door does dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, which is fun to go along to with good food and a great vibe from the local community. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return again in future.

A few more bits and pieces in the kitchen would be great, there was only one pot and no large frying pan, which made cooking for a family a little tricky (we self catered many of our meals). We didn't like needing to walk over to the deli/restaurant with our rubbish and recycling, through tables of guests, to get to the bins.

The property was very spacious, comfortable with an amazing view

The noise from the bar downstairs could get loud but was not enough to stop sleep or too loud to disturb anyone watching tv

I did not take into account that there were two Muriwai Beaches in New Zealand and I went to the one I thought I had paid for. The refund provided me was much appreciated. My evaluation of the facilities is, understandably not a true reflection of services provided.
