Lovely location, comfortable beds, nice and cosy. Great communication.

A great stay for us as guests of a wedding nearby. Absolutely fabulous self contained unit that was close to the beach and had a lovely view. Had everything we needed and Clare is exceptional! It was very nice to have the code for the lockbox before we arrived so we could just let ourselves in with ease. Having the cafe next door was perfect for a wee breakfast treat at the picnic tables outside. I LOVED that the cafe was dog friendly and we got to meet and sit with the resident doggo, George 😍🐶

Was absolutely perfect and completely clean. The lounge could be nice with a chromecast tv but not at all a necessity!

The unit was very clean and comfortable, in a nice location.

First impressions were not great - access was up some rather unimpressive stairs (the sort a non-builder might knock up as a weekend job). They were functional, but set up an initial impression of things being a bit sub-standard. The shower delivered only a minimum amount of water, which again was functional, but unexpected. But any issues we had were more due to our expectations perhaps not matching the reality of staying in an old lodging house rather than any fundamental problems per se. There were newer units on the site, but we were in the original lodge. Clare was lovely.

View is stunning even in bad weather. Peaceful, very clean, modern and chic furnishings incl bed and linen, building is old and with character, the two bedrooms were very spacious, wonderful doors that opened to the balcony that overlooked the trees and pond below, and a glimpse of the sea beyond, Prime Tv that kept us entertained in bad weather, and wonderful personal touches like a welcome bag of chocolates. It was great meeting Clare who welcomed us warmly and showed us in.

Awesome, calm way to start the day watching the Tui's playing while having breakfast. Windows look out to an abundance of Pohutukawa trees coming into flower attracting many Tui's. One tree top is in front so you literally get a birds eye view.

It was a small, but very well equipped cabin in a good location. Just right for a couple. Clare, the owner, was lovely. I would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, we were evacuated along with residents of Muriwai during Cyclone Gabrielle. I hope that Clare and the other residents will be able to return to their homes and businesses soon.

Easy location to find with a beautiful outlook. Everything we needed for a quick break away. Super clean and comfortable with a fabulous host. Even a couple of umbrellas on hand for emergencies!

Unfortunately the property backs on to the main road to the nearby beach. We needed to keep the windows closed in the bedrooms to minimise the noise. This meant no ventilation while sleeping but we coped!

Lovely rustic cabin with open view of luscious vegetation, close to beautiful coastline. Cosy and clean with all necessities available and CLARE an extremely generous and responsive host. Wonderfully comfortable bed and comfortable settee to relax on in really light living room.
