NETHSARA cottage

It was a large family room. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of food! We ate on a balcony overlooking the forest full of trees and birds. For the room rate, it was excellent value.

The hotel did not provide dinner, so we had to go to a restaurant. The bathroom facilities should be improved, especially the shower. Access to the hotel is very difficult. Our driver could not get through with the car, so we had to rent a tuk-tuk to carry the luggage.

Posto immerso nel verde, con una vista stupenda. Colazione molto ricca servita su una bellissima terrazza. La padrona di casa è stata molto disponibile, riuscendo a realizzare tutte le nostre richieste. Unica nota da ricordare: l’ultimissimo tratto, circa 300 m, è troppo ripido e stretto per un van, ma la padrona di casa organizza rapidamente passaggi in tuk tuk inclusi nella struttura. Consigliato!

Superbe vue depuis l'hébergement, calme. Accès un peu difficile pour notre van mais le chauffeur y est arrivé (et au retour, le propriétaire a organisé notre portage de bagages en Tuktuk). Salle de bain très spacieuse, avec une eau très chaude pour la première fois au Sri Lanka 🙂 Repas délicieux préparé par Nethsara cottage.

Les lits sont trop courts, ce qui a rendu la nuit inconfortable.

We had a great stay at Nethsara Cottage in Ella. The staff was very friendly, the breakfasts were tasty and varied, and the views from my terrace were stunning. The place was clean, comfortable, and well located for exploring the area. I highly recommend it.

Maybe one of the loveliest rooms we booked in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. It had 2 beds, a porch and a view on the opposite hill with a Buddhist temple. It is not in downtown Ella but you get the view, so it's a question of taste. Breakfast was served on the porch and was delicious. The owner was great and helped us organize our pickup to and from the cottage as well as a driver to go to Yala.

The nearby restaurant is fine (the yellow rice is tastier than their curry) but does not have enough options for people staying more than 2 nights.

The view is magnificent. We had an overwelming breakfast on the balcony. Rooms are very large with good beds. Nice bathroom too. Lovely place in the mountains

Access from the road was a concern as we had to take tuk-tuk to do circus inorder to reach the place, but it was enjoyable too.
