The Spice Lodge

Nos alojamos dos noches en The Spice Lodge y fue una experiencia excelente. La ubicación es ideal, a solo 30 minutos andando de Little Adam’s Peak, y desde el balcón de la habitación se disfrutan unas vistas increíbles al valle. La habitación tiene todo lo necesario para descansar, pero lo mejor es la familia que lo regenta: son súper amables y hospitalarios. Hicimos un curso de cocina con Irosha y su madre, donde aprendimos a preparar platos típicos que luego cenamos, ¡una de las mejores comidas de nuestro viaje! También tuvimos charlas muy agradables con el hijo de Kamal, que nos hizo sentir como en casa. Un lugar totalmente recomendable por su hospitalidad, entorno y buena comida.

Je moet rekening houden met de trappen maar dat was voor ons geen probleem.

The accomodation was really nice, we really liked the jungle-vibe of the place. The host was rather nice and helpful, he helped us tinker our plan and even helped us arrange transportation to the next accomodation. The breakfests were excellent. Should we ever come back to Ella we would stay there again!

Everything was nice

La stanza è molto spaziosa con vista sulla giungla, parte esterna dove fare colazione immersa nella natura. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile. Posizione ottima per visitare Little adam's peak e nine arches bridge. Il centro di ella si trova a 10 minuti a piedi.

We spent two nights at Spice Lodge in Ella and it was simply spectacular. The room was super comfortable — honestly, some of the best nights of sleep we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was outstanding, freshly prepared by Kamal’s mother, and we highly recommend the cooking class with her and Kamal’s sister, which was a wonderful experience. The homestay has a very warm and family atmosphere, everything is spotless clean, and the location is just perfect — only 20 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by tuk-tuk from Ella center, right at the starting point for the Nine Arches Bridge and also a great base for Little Adam’s Peak at sunrise or sunset. Kamal was the perfect host, always kind and helpful. He even took us on a tuk-tuk trip to a waterfall about an hour from Ella, which was an unforgettable experience. In short: great location, great service, spotless cleanliness, and a truly authentic homestay experience. Highly recommended!

Internet works fine for tourists. Maybe not for zoom calls

La struttura è molto pulita e immersa nella natura, leggermente fuori dal centro ma sul percorso per raggiungere nine archs bridge e little Adam’s peak. Colazione molto buona e abbondante con possibilità di scegliere tra una colazione continentale o una colazione tipica dello Sri Lanka.

Posizione fantastica, camera con vista mozzafiato. Ottima colazione e ottimo il fatto che sia all’inizio della strada per il little e Adams peak così da essere a mezz’ora da un’alba incredibile
