The Spice Lodge

Kamal is a great host, and will help you with any questions you might have. The property is located up some stairs, on the same road that leads to Adam's peak. If you go the other way and cross the road, you can also easily walk to nine arches bridge. Overall great location! You can also walk to town, or grab a tuk tuk for ~600 LKR. The room is quiet and peaceful, only the sound of nature! (Those Sri Lankan squirrels..). Breakfast was tasty! The second night, we got a packed breakfast as we had to take the 8:30am train to Nanuoya.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful house sitting upon the tree plantations, just off from the main road in a quiet area. Very spacious bedroom. The host kindly offered to drive us to the Ella railway station in the morning and with a tasty breakfast basket :)

El alojamiento y la habitación es una pasada, de los mejores que hemos estado en todo el viaje. El desayuno también muy bien

Quizás la ubicación porque no está muy céntrico pero perfecto para hacer la excursión de Little Adam’s. Tened en cuenta que para llegar a las habitaciones hay que subir bastantes escaleras por lo que puede no ser apto para personas con movilidad reducida. Nos cobró una cerveza por 1200lkr que nos ofrecieron al llegar, cosa que creemos que es un precio demasiado elevado.

Un nido in mezzo alla giungla, pulitissima e molto accogliente! Quella vetrata immensa sulle piantagioni di té dà la possibilità di sentirsi immersi nel verde direttamente dal letto (il più comodo dello Sri Lanka). Il gestore della struttura è stato disponibilissimo ad aiutarci anche a pianificare il nostro tour ad Ella e la colazione local é molto buona.

No hay mucha luz en la habitación. Debajo de las camas estaba bastante sucios. Si trabajas cara al público se tiene que ser paciente.

I really enjoyed my stay at The spice lodge, Kamal was very attentive and catered to the needs when asked for. The view from the lodge is pretty good and calm. The breakfast that was served was very delicious and I loved it. I definitely recommend this place for people who want something offbeat.

The room and the balcony both were spacious and very clean. Even though the room was close to the main road it had an isolated atmosphere and a great view. The room is very close to the Little Adam’s peak and Nine Arches Brige and a 15-minute walk to the center and the way to the center is walkable. The Sri Lankan breakfast Kamal served was one of the bests I had in Sri lanka. I highly recommend this accomodation!
