Magical Mountain View Resort

: The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature, with stunning mountain views that create a truly relaxing getaway. In the early morning, the mist covering the area makes the scenery even more beautiful and serene. The resort is located on a hillside, so there are quite a few stairs and walking paths, but the hotel conveniently provides golf cart service for guests at all times. All staff members were exceptionally friendly, polite, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. The resort also offers a variety of activities, including Cheow Lan Lake tours, bamboo rafting, and river tubing, which made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices and everything was delicious. Overall, this was a truly impressive stay and a wonderful place to relax and reconnect with nature.

Het resort ligt prachtig tussen de kalkstenen rotsen in de jungle. Wat een fenomenaal uitzicht heb je vanaf je balkon, echt ongekend. Het is allemaal heel erg schoon en ook de eetzaal en zwembad zijn goed onderhouden. Ontbijt is simpel maar lekker. Het is wel een eindje (20 autominuten) van het stadje Khao Sok vandaan, maar dat was voor ons een bewuste keuze. We hebben 1 nachtelijke jungle trekking gedaan via het hotel en dat vonden we erg leuk! Heel veel dieren gezien.

Wij zaten in de verst gelegen huisjes, en moesten een stukje lopen, trap af, heuvel op om bij het zwembad en de eetzaal te komen. In 40 graden was dat wat minder prettig. Maar we konden wel meteen afkoelen in het zwembad. En 1x mochten we in het golfkarretje mee de heuvel op, dat scheelde ook wel :)

Views are great

It was unsafe for the kids. Staircases with pointy edges, poorly lit and slippery at night. Also didn’t understand that we didnt get sheets, only a blanket that I dont think gets washed in between guests. We left 2 days in earlier because it just was difficult to be there with little kids. Room was also sold as 60m2 but it was 35 tops I would say.

The 360° views are truly wonderful and the resort makes sure you feel like you're in the wilderness. The staff are helpful and pleasant, and helped us change room when we felt ours was a little over looked by the pool. The food was excellent and there was a good selection every morning - which is good as this pace is remote! They also arranged a fantastic jungle tour with James, he and the tour were the standout of our stay - we'd recommend that everyone do his afternoon jungle trek.

The photos are not up to date. The swimming pool has moved to another part of the resort, which requires a golf buggy or a steep walk to reach. It’s not a huge issue, but worth mentioning as the balconies of the huts now overlook it, making them less private than they appear. The restaurant area has a mix of toys and play facilities such as a ping pong table, which is fine except when eating. You regularly have kids playing ping pong a meter or two away from your tranquil meal. The rooms and facilities aren't the most modern or polished, again not a huge issue as you stay here to feel like you're in the jungle not to have luxury. Lastly is the road noise, it is quite audible all day and night as the resort is situated quite close to it.

Mooi uitzicht

Schaduw plekken zwembad en vervoer naar het plaatsje khao sok. Je kunt alleen smiddags shuttlevan hotel gebruiken hij gaat uiterlijk om 17 uur terug. Dus je moet haast wel in het hotel eten. Want rond etens tijd kun je niet met grab een taxi krijgen en het hotel rekend absurde prijs om je te brengen. Het zou fijn zijn als de shuttle tot een een of 20 uur zou rijden.
