Kinship Lodge with Hot Tub

It was super clean, the hot tub was lovely and gave a wonderful view of the ducks!! The wifi was good and everything you might need was in the cupboards! Not cluttered though just very handy! Very peaceful surroundings and a 30 minute taxi ride into the centre of York.

Our boiler was faulty when we got there, there was no hot water or heating. However, when we went to reception about it they sent a man to fix it THEN and THERE. Took him two seconds and we had hot water again! Staff were so helpful and friendly the whole time!

Beautifully presented, clean and comfortable.

Only thing that was missing was a hairdryer,

The property is in a gorgeous area, we loved the lake view and being greeted by the ducks and swans on a morning😊

I have stayed here before but In a different lodge and really enjoyed it hence why we booked again but with the lake view this time. This time when we came the cleanliness was not good at all . When we arrived we noticed the couch, the 2 chairs and the foot rest where all terribly stained. We got the towels out of the spare room to put on the couches as we didn’t want to sit on the stains and noticed the towels even had stains on. We also had to clean all the pans before using them as they still had some food on them. The whole lodge was full of flies and lots of other insects. We into the hot tub and inside the hot tub was a lot of dirt and leaves. We can only assume that the lodge had not been cleaned before we arrived which we were disappointed with as it made not want to stay there.

Was in a perfect location. The property was very well equipped with lots of little extras for the furry kids!

Nothing.

The open loving space was amazing the lodge was set a good distance from other lodges so you didnt have to worry about noise. It was clean and tidy everything we needed

Hot tub was amazing.

The location was private, not overlooked. Great that it was dog friendly.

There is a wasp issue. When entering the property we found 6 dead wasps, and had at least 20 wasps in the property over the weekend when we had the door to the hot tub open, seemed to be a nest somewhere. Luckily, wasps aren’t a phobia of ours.

I loved how spacious and clean it was

Couldn’t find the thermostat to put the heating in also the mattress in the main bedroom was uncomfortable

Perfect venue for a perfect weekend catching up with friends. Very clean with all the accessories and equipment you could need. Clear instructions re: check in, details for stay and check out. Communication from host and booking agent were excellent as were staff at check in. Would highly reccommend and will definitely re-book in the future.
