The Old Potting Shed

The old potting shed is a beautiful room, we couldn’t fault anything, it has probably the nicest bathroom I’ve ever used. lovely big comfy bed with quality bedding. Margie and Nick were fabulous hosts, and the hamper breakfast they did us was fabulous both days. We parked our car on their drive and used the bus service both days to go into York, the buses run every 2 hours.

Peaceful retreat near Marina.great access to walks, York and designer outlet. The bathroom is luxurious and the bed is the best we have ever slept in . Breakfast is wonderful with best quality foods provided.Loved everything about The potting Shed.

What can I say! The stay for my girlfriend Amy and I certainly exceeded our expectations. We were first greeted at the door by the delightful and very friendly Nick and Margie, with them making it clear how they can be very accommodating to our needs. The Old Potting Shed itself was a very cute and spacious and to our surprise had underfloor heating throughout the entire unit (bathroom and living area)! The bathroom was incredibly modern and I certainly took some photos for some interior design inspo for myself! The mattress and bed was huge and so comfortable which value a lot with weekends away and was certainly a tranquil sleep for the both of us. Nick asked what time we wanted our breakfast and notified us with a little knock where there was a lovely hamper with exactly what you need for your continental breakfast needs and we had some leftovers too to take with us for lunch whilst exploring the York city. A booklet describing the bus timetables, taxi services, local pub eateries etc was provided which saved us a lot of pre-research time and they also notified us of temporary attractions in the city so we could make the most of our visit. For me, there is simply nothing to fault and it is incredibly good value for money and is only £2 adult bus ticket that takes only 15mins to get into central York. I honestly recommend this to anybody who wants to visit York whether it be a weekend or longer due to the incredible value offered in comparison to the central serviced accommodation units which I believe are overpriced just for because they are central. Thank you again Nick and Margie - we will certainly be returning!

it was fantastic, underfloor heating and such a comfy bed, the breakfast was brilliant, so warm and fresh, would 100% recommend
