Bears Den Alaska Lodging

Close to small boat harbor, restaurants and grocery store. Also close to train depot, where free shuttle picks up. Accessible by convenient pedestrian underpass under highway. Appreciated coffee maker with coffee and filters, as well as gas grill for cooking dinner. Microwave, fridge, dishes and grill tools also provided. View of the harbor was wonderful.

There was nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletries. We ended up putting them on the dining table.

The Bears Den Alaska lodging location was great and having the ability to park our vehicle right outside our entry door was also nice. The property and Den 2 itself were clean and well kept.

The only reason for good versus excellent overall rating was that my husband would have liked to have had a closet to be able to hang a few more items than available on the wall coat rack. He also thought having more than one folding luggage rack would have been helpful so he didn't have to place his luggage on the bed or the floor. I had used the only luggage rack for my suitcase. A second one could be folded and easily stored under the queen size bed if not needed.

Very clean and close to marina

Had to wait for hot water. Didn't have hot water in the shower all the time. Also, it was suprising to know that we cant cook in the room so had to eat out even that we had grocery with us.

Very nice apartment, we felt really good. We good welcome cookies☺️ The owners were really friendly and the location was just perfect - few minutes walking from the marina and also the shops were nearby.

From our perspective it was overpriced.

Although we arrived late, the owner’s instructions we have received in advance were enough for a straightforward self-checkin. The property is very close to the harbor, which is the departure point for the cruises.

Close to town, exceptionally clean, friendly and quick to respond staff, convenient, Wi-Fi, fully stocked with everything we needed. Cookies from Shari when we checked in :)

A little pricey for how small it is, but we booked last minute and it was probably prime time in Seward. For a family of 6, it worked but felt like a cramped hotel room. We would stay again but not with a party of 6.

Felt like visiting their home - so friendly and helpful

Walking distance to many of the local sites, easy parking and very comfortable
