Bears Den Alaska Lodging

The apartment was very clean. It was in a great location relative to the harbor and the hosts were very responsive. Couldn’t have had a better stay!

Great stay. Really liked the decorations around the place, was all Alaska themed and the owners put A lot of effort into making the house comfortable. I liked that there was Netflix.

Electric boiler on 2nd storey would have been good. Also would be good if the way to enter the b&b was sent earlier as I didn’t have WiFi on the day itself when the email was sent on how to enter the house.

Very nicely decorated, with 2 queens beds and one sofa bed. The queen beds are comfortable though they move a lot - if the other person in the bed moves, you'll move as well. It woke me up it couple of times but I am a very light sleeper and overall slept really well. We didn't realize the sofa bed could be opened (and didn't ask either) but it was long enough and comfortable for one person to sleep on it. Sheets are provided as well. The heater worked very well. There are blackout shades for the early morning sun. We did not hear our neighbors downstairs, overall the place was very quiet. The bathroom was nice but it was difficult for towels to dry - recommend taking them out of the bathroom. There is shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion available. Good water pressure that you can regulate, hot water comes out quickly. The place is also very conveniently located, you can walk in 10min or less to the harbor where most restaurants are, and boat tours depart. Staff incredibly nice, very responsive, and also had some delicious cookies waiting for us on arrival!!

The Bear's Den #3 was absolutely AMAZING!!! Shari was the best hostess. The Den was so clean, huge and walkable to the free shuttle which took us every where we wanted to go. I highly recommend The Bear's Den #3. I would love to get back to Seward and would only stay here!! Thanks Shari for everything.

The only thing we didn't like, was that we couldn't stay longer!!
