Vriendelijke mensen en zeer behulpzaam

Kamers waren gebouwd vanuit zeecontainers (en dus zeer gehorig met ongedierte), bedden niet erg prettig en douche was ook matig. Ligging van de accommodatie vereist een taxi of scooter om ergens heen te gaan, dus dat is een keuze maar moet je wel bewust van zijn. In de directe loop omgeving is nagenoeg niets. Ontbijt vonden wij ‘gemiddeld’, prima te eten maar niet zo wonderlijk als sommige referenties schreven. Al met al kunnen we ons niet vinden in de score van 9+, meer komen uit op een 6

Le personnel, bien que souriant, semble très fatigué. les saisonniers masculins sont pas très souriants et serviables. Souvent bourrés ou à fumer devant les voyageurs… On a remis un sac de linge sale en plastique avec fermeture qui a été perdu.

I loved everything about this place, I could live here permanently, the whole place is brilliant and the hosts made it amazing! The location is perfect, not too far from the centre but just far enough, the food and drink, excellent, nothing was too much trouble, the best atmosphere, great vibe, family fun in the jungle, lovely outdoor pool, great dining and socialising area with a pool table, motorcycle hire, advice on trips and tours, absolutely recommend to anyone, from any country, we met some really cool guests too, 100% book it!

Location and setup

Overall a bit dated but comfortable with great hosts.

Nestled amongst the tranquil hillside surroundings, filled with bonsai and butterflies, this is a characterful, family run home stay. It has basic amenities but is very quiet, with comfortable beds and air conditioning. There is a swimming pool to chill out in and a pool table in the bar/dining area. It’s just 10 minutes by taxi or scooter from the hustle and bustle of Cat Ba town, making it a good base to explore the island from. Hien is a fantastic host, patient and attentive - she and her family have lived in this area all their lives, rebuilding after the war, so know the island very well. We’re so grateful for their hospitality and helping us with all the transport and booking tours. All the staff are jovial and friendly making the whole stay an easy, relaxing experience. Thank you for looking after us!

We hebben een mooie dagen gehad hier in de kamers van love house Homestay. De gast heer en vrouw zijn zeer gastvrij en hebben ons 4 mooie dagen bezorgd. Zeker een aanrader! Tevens mooie uitval basis om naar ha long bay en lan ha bau te gaan. In het restaurant diverse Vietnamese gerechten maar ook westerse gerechten. Kort om fijne plek!
