Hotel Cabañas Safari

It was just a very nice place. Good locatie, beautiful garden, nice breakfast. Swimmingpool, mexican sauna. What do you need more??

Quiet location except for the wildlife on occasion. part of the experience in this sort of hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient. easy to get a taxi into town or a bus from the end of the entrance road.

Relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable, close to the ruins.

Very helpful friendly staff, lovely site. Felt like being in the jungle but not too far from town (10 min walk to the shop). We arrived early on a night bus and staff were very helpful allowing us to store our bags for a short time then check in early.

Restaurant food was fine but not as good as can be found elsewhere.

nice nature around the property with some animals running around.

the bathroom was full of mosquitos. no net was installed on the small always open window of the bathroom, so no wonder. reception informed me that breakfast will be available 0700. when i arrived at the restaurant at that time. the restaurant staff told me 0730 is the earliest.

I did actually like the place and found most staff friendly and therefore felt even more violated and disappointed when I found out that my money was stolen!

When I told the guy at the reception that my money got stolen, the only thing he did/ said was that I signed a piece of paper that said that they weren't responsible... Sorry?! After some discussion the manager came, also the only one being able to speak English btw. They have camera's installed, but according to the manager, unfortunately the one from my room happened to not be working the nights I was there... All in all NOT a very nice experience that costed me quite some money, allot of hassle and most importantly, had a negative impact on my travel experience and trust in Mexico
