Hotel Cabañas Safari

We loved the pool area, the staff was super nice and helpful, the food was good and the setting beautiful

There cabins could use a little renovationing, but we saw that they are doing that

I messaged the property twice to ask about an early check in. They did not reply. When we arrived at about 8 am after an overnight bus trip we were told that the price for an early check in was 300 MXN which was nearly half the price of the room. It did not feel safe to leave our baggage at a mostly unattended reception so we reluctantly paid the excess. The man then took us to a room which was ready. We thought we had booked a two bed room so he took us to yet another room which was ready. The lack of goodwill was appaling as it was clear there were very few other people staying. The room was mouldy with a strong disgusting smell. It was also dirty with no promised water or toiletries. There were blood stains on the sheets. I was covered in bites the next morning which were identified as bed bug bites by the first pharmacist I could find as soon as we left really early in the morning as we just couldn't stay there any longer.

Very nice staff, they help you with everything. Good, spacious and clean cabañas, food was good as well. Overall very nice stay.

We loved our cabana. It was very basic but clean and had everything we needed. The pool was small but refreshing. We ate on site and the food was great and the waiter very friendly. Good place to stay before visiting the Palenque ruins.
