Rixile Kruger Lodge

Wunderschöne große Unterkunft, ideal für 3 Paare oder ( wie bei uns 3 Einzelpersonen) . Wunderschöne Bäder, tolles Wohnzimmer und Terrasse an der abends Wildtiere vorbei kamen und friedlich grasten . Ein persönlicher schwimmingpool und ein nahegelegenes Restaurant mit wirklich leckeren Gerichten ( all you can eat buffet für 30 Euro ) . Die zugebuchte Safari hat uns direkt an der Unterkunft abgeholt. Wunderbar netter und zuvorkommender Host. Parkplatz direkt vor der Unterkunft . Aircondition und deckenventilator, je nach Bedarf.

Wir hatten ein kleines Stromproblem für das die Unterkunft aber nichts konnte.

We have just spent 9 nights at Rixile and wish we didn't have to return home. If you're looking for a place to stay that gives you brilliant and easy access to Kruger (it is literally as close as you can get to the Paul Kruger gate) that is beautifully designed and decorated with all the amenities that you would want in the heart of the bush, Rixile is for you. Our favourite area of Kruger to explore is the south. Lower Sabie is particularly special but the whole of the south was just teaming with wildlife. It was wonderful to see the ecosystem thriving like it is! Rixile gives you the perfect spot from which to explore the south. We even went up north as far as Oliphants Rest Camp in a single day but that was a long, 17.5 hour day that I wouldn't necessarily recommend unless you really want to see Oliphants Rest Camp like we did. Clint and the team were attentive to our every need and went above and beyond in making us feel welcome and comfortable. We loved the braai area and fire pit - sitting under a galaxy of stars that shine so much brighter above Kruger than anywhere else in the country. The rooms were perfect and private with both an indoor and outdoor shower in each (the latter was our favourite!). The kitchen has everything you need including an ice maker which, being December, was used a lot! Air conditioning and fans are provided throughout and despite an electrical fault in the area on the first day we arrived (which only affected the air conditioners as they have solar for everything else), Clint was very responsive and helpful in getting it resolved as quickly as possible. The splash pool was great and the perfect tonic after a long day of driving around Kruger. We loved also having animals such as Bushbuck, Impala, Kudu and Civit come right up to the small watering hold in front of Rixile. We even had a visit from a rock monitor lizzard which was very special. God willing, we'll be back at Rixile as soon as possible!

Nothing of significance. The Wifi wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be and so I couldn't do the work that I needed to. However, in all honesty, this was a blessing in disguise. It was an opportunity to disconnect from the busyness of life and reconnect with the simplicity of nature. I should add that it wasn't non-existant (and probaby better than most places in the area), it was just quite slow and tempramental. For basic comms it was fine (my wife and kids had no issues!) but I am a heavy internet user in the job that I do. Next time I'm leaving the laptop behind just to enjoy all that Rixile and the area has to offer.

Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Paul Kruger Gate ist hervorragend. Die Lodge ist wunderschön, sehr hochwertig ausgestattet und modern – wir waren wirklich rundum zufrieden! Clint sorgt praktisch für ein „Rundum-sorglos-Paket“. Wenn man vorher aufmerksam liest, weiß man zudem, dass man ausreichend einkaufen sollte, um sich selbst zu versorgen. Dank der voll ausgestatteten Küche ist das aber überhaupt kein Problem.

Das Einzige, das man erwähnen sollte, ist, dass die Lodge mitten im Busch liegt und es dort natürlich viele Insekten gibt. Aber selbst dafür ist bestens vorgesorgt – entsprechende Sprays stehen bereit.

Nichts. Man kann die Unterkunft bedingungslos weiterempfehlen.

We had a brilliant stay at Rixile. The location is private, tranquil and the property is spotless, finished to a high standard and well equipped. Clint couldn’t be more helpful and we had such a comfortable stay. We were on the fence about staying at Kruger Gate Hotel before we had booked and I’m so glad we didn’t as this stay felt a lot more personal - with access to the hotel facilities. Highly recommend and hope to return.

Nothing to note here

1. A wonderful host who will tell you everything about the house and help you with any questions you may have. 2. A cozy house with everything you need (from dishes to coffee capsules and dishwasher tablets). 3. The house is very clean. 4. All the furniture is new, the towels and bed linen are the whitest and newest. 5. I wanted to stay there again and again. 6. The perfect location for an early morning safari to the park.

Toller Ort! Wir waren 6 Personen und hatten jede Menge Platz. Die Lage direkt am Gate des Kruger Parks ist perfekt als Ausgangslage für Safaris. Tolle Ausstattung und super freundlicher Service, Clint ist kümmert sich sehr freundlich um alles (sogar die Wäsche wird gewaschen). Wir hatten täglich Besuch von Impalas, Warzenschweinen und Vögeln. Auch der Zugang zum Pool am nahegelegenden Hotel und die Möglichkeit dort zu essen sind super.

We had the pleasure of staying 2 nights in this beautiful lodge, a hidden gem, tucked away in Kruger gate with free roaming wildlife… Immersed in nature, simple yet luxurious. Celebrated my partner’s birthday and it ticked our boxes for being such a private, tranquil place to stay in the bush. The rooms, views, hospitality… everything was just amazing. Clint is a super-host, warm and responsive to our needs, which immediately made us feel at home. Small details are attended to such as when to clean the room. We definitely recommend this place!

The pool water is quite cold.
