Tingala Lodge - Bed in the Bush

Siphiwe is an absolute gem. He could not have been more helpful and attentive.

Tingala Lodge is in desperate need of proactive oversight, management and maintenance. One gets the sense that the staff, despite their best efforts, get little support from the owners. Oversight is at best poor or at worst absent. The potential for the place is immense, but the experience itself is definitely lacking. A good manager could turn the place around in a matter of weeks (simple issues like a working gate and remote, proper lighting and plug points in the rooms, reconfigured bathrooms etc.). The web site is also outdated and inaccurate in terms of what is actually offered. Finally, Tingala is developing a poor reputation in the town. Several people raised their eyebrows when we mentioned we were staying there. The brand is everything in this industry.

Loved the location. Staff were attentive and tried hard to please everyone. We were allowed to use the kitchen for food prep which was nice.

The property could do with a good clean up and attention given to some general maintenance. The bathrooms could do with a refresh as water goes everywhere when showering. We did get clean towels that were a bit musty smelling. Unfortunately there was a group of people on our first night that used the boma and were horribly drunk making noise and disrespecting the animals that came to the watering hole.

The staff are grat. , close to the Kruger and the Town. The self catering is also nice to do. Super breakfast!

Nice and comfortable place, good beds, big rooms and bathroom. We were a bit late in the morning for the breakfast and we didn’t expect to them to fix it but they did.

The way to the Lodge was very bumpy

The admin was. Terrible the lights tripped at night no one put them back on till the following g morning
