Blue Star Bungalows & Cafe

Clean, cosy room with rustic charm. This is perfect budget accommodation. I loved the big bed, the spacious room and the generous balcony with a sea view. The hotel is right on the beach, away from too much noise. The restaurant is lovely and relaxing, overlooking the beach. Perfect location if you want to snorkel and the hotel rent goggles and flippers to guests. The staff are so friendly. They learnt my name straight away and were really accommodating. They helped me when I cut my ankle while snorkelling and took me to the medical centre. I really appreciated their help and kindness. I wanted to extend my stay but sadly my room was already booked.

Everything was great. Bear in mind this is budget accommodation and offers good value for money.

Great little spot for the price and we only did 2 nights. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was average but it's free so cant complain. Staff were just lovely!

It's a little outdated! But the bathroom is the worst. No hot water in the shower only the handheld. Which made for washing hair a little challenge.

Je ne comprends que cet établissement ait 8,6 sur Booking. Je note un établissement pour son hotelerie en générale et pas parce qu'il y a un site de snorkeling sur la plage devant. Nous devions rester 3 jours et nous sommes partis après la première nuit. Pour détailler : tout est très vetuste. Nous avions une chambre en RDC pas loin des poubelles avec une terrasse où on ne risquait pas d y aller vu que ça sentit un mélange d'égouts et de poubelle. L'intérieur de la chambre : lit confortable mais une salle de bain plus que vieillotte avec très peu de pression de douche. Lavabo presque inutilisable (situé en angle sur un plan de travail de 70 cm de haut et décalé de 30 cm en façade le tout avec un tout petit éclairage). Éclairage de la chambre très faible. La gérante nous a demandé pourquoi on partait et j'ai préféré mentir avec une raison bidon plutôt que de lui dire la vérité. Il ne faudrait pourtant pas énormément de rénovation pour faire de cet hôtel quelque chose de bien ! Assez excentré de la vie du village d'Amed.

We enjoyed our 6 night stay at the Blue Star. We had bungalow #1 with direct access to a loverly beach. Plenty of snorkelling opertunity right out front of the hotel. Food at the restaurant was basic but good and staff happy and helpful. Although a little tired and need of renovation it was clean and comfortable.

Nothing to dislike at this price point.
