Blue Star Bungalows & Cafe

There’s nothing fancy about this place, except an amazing coral reef is at the door! Hire snorkelling gear from reception and you’re ready to go. You can also hang in the shaded deck chairs and have freshly made food and drinks within when you need a break from the reef. And the food is terrific; I ate dinner there every night and they even made me vegan pancakes for breakfast. Lovely staff. Rooms are old, but clean and you cannot get closer to the reef. Hint, make sure you have reef shoes or booties. I will be back.

The location is the best. Right on the water, with amazing snorkeling. Friendly staff, great service. This is our 2nd visit to Blue Star.

De ligging in Jemeluk Bay met direct voor de deur mogelijkheid tot snorkelen. Snorkelspullen zijn per dag te huren bij het cafe tegen redelijke prijzen. Het cafe serveert goede maaltijden en de staf is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn groot genoeg, met een extra verlengsnoer om apparaten op te laden. Vroeg in de morgen wordt een kan heet water met koffie en thee op het balkon gezet.

It is right by a diving spot that you can access from The beach, the staff is very nice and helpful, they rent snorkelling equipment too which is convenient, and the food that they prepare it is good and well priced.

There is absolutely no internet connection, and given the position of the building I was not able to even use my own 4G data, making it impossible to do even the simplest tasks from my room. I had to Come out and walk outside the building or to the beach.

Abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza familiare con letto matrimoniale e soppalco con due letti. Condizionatore sia al piano che al soppalco. Letti comodi, pulizie giornaliere, distributore acqua in camera. Ogni giorno alle 6.45 ti lasciano tazze con acqua bollente caffè e tè sill ampio balconcino vista mare. Colazione inclusa vista mare. Lettini mare disponibili per ospiti. Servizio lavanderia e maschere pinne disponibili a noleggio. Servizio taxi disponibile e preciso visto che in questa zona non funzionano i taxi on line. Personale gentile e disponibile. Atmosfera molto rilassante avrei voluto stare una notte in più.

Non mi è piaciuta molto la cucina del ristorante ma è questione di gusti.

Perfectly located right on the beachfront....20 steps to breakfast (which was tasty & filling) & 20 more steps to the water's edge. Staff were very friendly, helpful & accommodating. The laundry service was excellent & great value....our clothes were washed, dried & pressed & perfectly cared for. Thank you to Darme & her team for also taking extra care to provide me with GF meals which as a Coeliac, I greatly appreciated. The snorkeling out the front was easy access & enjoyable.

The beds are a bit firmer than our old bones are used to.

Good value for money. Basics well provided. Location right on the beach. Good breakfast and free drinking water in rooms.

Shower over the bath needs upgrading . Rooms will need upgrading soon as well. Difficulty walking anywhere as roads in terrible condition.
