Lodge Atacama Horse

We had wonderful time at Lodge Atacama Horse. The accommodations are nice, comfortable and well thought. We loved the proximity with the Lodge’s animals and nature. This place is really amazing and relaxing. Would 100% recommend!

Amei o ambiente com os animais soltos, o hotel é muito lindo e bem cuidado. É muito calmo e silencioso, ótimo lugar pra descansar e aproveitar a natureza. O café da manhã era bom, mas sem muitas opções.

Fica longe do centro, uns 20 minutos a pé. O dono é muito atencioso e disponibiliza bicicletas para quem desejar ir ao centro com elas. Não recomendo a estadia para os dias de passeio normal pela distância da rua principal, mas é um ótimo lugar pra descansar e recarregar as energias se estiver de carro, ou se não for fazer muitos passeios que te deixem/busquem no centro.

Lodge ist sehr familiär. Eine ältere Dame macht das Frühstück und ist sehr freundlich. Der Besitzer Juan ist sehr hilfsbereit und das Zimmer wurde gründlich gereinigt (von der Tochter?). Wasser steht jederzeit zur Verfügung. Die Tiere auf dem Hof (u.a. Pferde, Lamas, Esel,Hunde,Katzen,Hühner,etc) sind sehr schön. Man hat das Gefühl, dass man auf einer Ranch einer Gaucho Familie lebt (auch aufgrund der Einrichtung und den Bildern im Haus).

The cleaning and breakfast staff were friendly and hardworking. One male staff member wearing a mask also offered great help with the bicycles several times — we truly appreciated their kindness. The dogs are cute as well.

❌ Major issues: We made our reservation in June 2025 and reconfirmed it twice through WhatsApp and Booking.com chat, yet when we arrived on 7 November, the owner, Juan, said there was no room available.He even showed us on his computer that our booking appeared correctly on Booking.com but was not entered into his own internal system. As a result, we had to stay in a different room for two nights before moving to the original one. We had no other choice but to accept it as we didn’t want to walk 2km with all our luggage to find a last minute accommodation while we never did anything wrong. Unfortunately, the room change happened on the same morning as our 6 AM tour. Juan had previously promised that the cleaning staff would help move our luggage, but when I simply reminded him to please handle the bags carefully, he suddenly told the staff not to help us at all.He then asked other guests to wait until 6 PM for our return before they could check in — which was unnecessary and unfair to them as well. ❌ Discriminatory behavior: My wife and I only speak basic Spanish, and we always communicated respectfully through translation apps and ChatGPT. However, Juan consistently refused to use any translation tool. When we tried to clarify a misunderstanding, he spoke rapidly in Spanish, and when we said we didn’t understand, he replied: “This is Chile, you have to speak Spanish.” This was deeply offensive and discriminatory toward tourists who don’t speak Spanish. Reading other reviews on Tripadvisor and Booking.com, it seems we were not the first guests to experience this issue. ❌ Legality and safety concerns: According to the official Chilean tourism registry (SERNATUR), this accommodation appears as “Registro no vigente” (invalid registration), raising questions about its legal status and safety compliance. ❌ Other inconveniences: • The lodge is about 2 km from town center. So it’s best to have a car. We rented their bikes for free.

linda estancia :) baño muy amplio, gran espejo, secador pieza fresca en el dia, abrigada por la noche buen desayuno, incluye huevitos :) y mucha variedad de frutas, pancito y cereales. Buen café de grano

quizas que estaba un poco alejado

Muy cómodo con muchos animales de granja y caballos.

El único problema es que se necesita tener vehículo propio. Está muy alejado del centro del pueblo.

风格很有特色，有自己的牧场，养了很多动物很可爱

服务太差！不建议任何不会西语的人去，完全无法交流，而且重要的是不配合你翻译！随你听不听得懂，真是要了命了。另外地理位置很不方便，如果不租车真的超级不方便去镇上。骑自行车要半小时而且天黑之后路上一点光都没有，真的是再也不会来这了，体验太差！

O lugar é lindo, realmente uma fazenda que proporciona uma experiencia unica para a viagem. Infelizmente não conseguimos colocar em nosso roteiro os passeios a cavalo. Os quartos sao exatamente como nas fotos. A equipe toda é muito solicita, os animais que ficam soltos sao encantadores (caes e gatos) e em alguns momentos lhamas e cabras também passeiam pela propriedade. é um excelente opçao para quem gosta de contato com natureza, mas ainda assim gostaria de mais conforto. camas extremamente confortaveis e chuveiro quentinho (muito, as vezes). o café da manha era otimo, com produtos frescos e opçoes suficientes. Adoramos nossa estadia e a hospitalidade do Juan. Para quem está de carro é uma das melhores opçoes custo beneficio da regiao.

O chuveiro nao era tao facil de regular a temperatura, nao entendemos muito bem como ele funcionava, conseguimos nos virar e nao chegou a ser um problema.
