Amandara Hills Kandy

We stayed here one night before we went back to the airport. The girl who arranges everything and sits in the lobby is really the sweetest. She helped us arrange the transfer to the airport and was so friendly. The hotel is really clean and has a beautiful view.

It’s not located in the centre, but a 15min drive away. This didn’t matter to us since we just wanted to relax before going to the airport, and a tuktuk to the centre was quickly arranged.

Before arrival I told the owner that it was by boyfriends birthday and the next day was our anniversary! When we arrived we got drinks but also a cake!! I didn’t ask for it, but they surprised him good! Very good service. When we thought it couldn’t get better, they got us flower with the breakfast! The service is very very good. They really want you to have the best experience. Also clean beautiful rooms with a nice view and very good shower. I would very much recommend you stay here while in Kandy.

The property is beautiful! It's a big home with a shared dining room and living room. The rooms are huge with individual balconies and modern bathrooms. Views are incredible and the location is very peaceful. The pool was nice and it felt good to relax after a long month of travel. The host, Kalani, was wonderful and helped out with a special request.

The only downside is also an upside - it's VERY high up on a hill. You definitely need a vehicle to get to town. On your way back to the hotel, your tuk-tuk/car-ride will be very steep so there will be moments where you'll feel like the vehicle won't make it up and you truly hope the tuk-tuks are 4-wheel drive (they are not). But, for this, you get unbeatable views and serenity.

The location is a little away from restaurants and other things and the road up there is a little crazy. But the location is also the reason for the nice view so it is okay :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at this wonderful place. It's conveniently situated away from the bustling Kandy town yet easily accessible by car. The highlight was the spacious and comfortable room, and we cherished the sunset views from the balcony and the charming little pool. Originally booked for one night, we extended our stay to two, thanks to the courteous and helpful staff, particularly the receptionist. I'll certainly recommend this gem to all my friends.
