Arawe Retreat

One of the best stays I have had in all my travels - we stayed at the chalet and the property looks and feels better than the photos on booking.com. It’s a boutique property ( 3 villas and one chalet) close to the train station (3mins) and the cafe area but feels cut off and in the midst of greenery. The chalet is spacious with two stories - one of the bedroom , a big bathroom with outdoor bath as well , a plunge pool and a place outside to have breakfast / meals. On top is the lounge area when you can read, do yoga , just sit and admire the greenery. You can also see the train pass by from the resort. The breakfast was indeed exceptional - was on time and so wholesome ! It was freshly made and the property was kind enough to accommodate our early morning schedule . Would highly recommend to stay for atleast two nights. We stayed for one but wish we had one more day to soak in the retreat and the activities ( yoga , Ayurvedic Center , cooking class ) . The manager ( Jayantha) was very responsive and greeted us very well. The staff is also very friendly and top notch in service . Thank you and hope to be back soon and also have our friends and family stay with you.

Wish we could spend more nights at this place.

The health retreat concept. The large outside patio to relax and watch the train pass. The private tuk tuk pickup service into Ella town and from Demodara train station so we could travel over the nine arch bridge and visit as part of our train journey. Breakfast was amazing with the cook offering Sri Lankan recipes (egg hoppers and coconut roti) whilst cooking your hot breakfast.

The 2 bedroom cottage is over 150yr old and quirky. It didn't have air conditioning but it was not needed with temp in Ella in October. Opening the bedroom window was not a problem with only one other villa. Doorway into the retreat shower and bathroom is very low.

Zeer mooi verblijf met aandacht voor natuur, ecovriendelijk. Je kan er joga en workshops volgen. Oase van rust. Je waant je in de jungle en dit op nog geen 5 min van de stad. Heerlijk ontbijt. Supervriendelijke mensen. Behoort zeker tot onze top van beste verblijven tijdens onze rondreis.

Absoluut niets!

Die Unterkunft überzeugte uns durch ihre zentrale Lage und zugleich ruhige Umgebung inmitten der Natur. Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt und bestens ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft. Jeden morgen gab es eine große Auswahl zum Frühstück, welche wir uns individuell zusammenstellen konnten, von traditionell bis Smoothie Bowl war alles dabei.

Nada más llegar, me enamoré de este lugar. La naturaleza que lo rodea, repleta de campos de arroz perfectamente cuidados, es espectacular. El entorno es inmejorable. La atención del staff súper buena y el desayuno simplemente increíble: abundante, delicioso y con unas vistas inmejorables. Sin duda 100% recomendable para una estancia perfecta en Ella.

Отличное расположение. Жили в двухэтажной вилле, очень красиво, тихо и спокойно. Ночью потрясающие звуки природы. Напротив виллы проходят железнодорожные пути, интересно смотреть за поездами. Ходят они нечасто, поэтому шумом не мешают.

Fue una auténtica experiencia, el personal fantástico, servicial y amable. Unas vistas increíbles y un trato excepcional.

Pour l’hôtel tout était absolument parfais, j’ai demandé ma petite amie en mariage içi et le personnel a fais des pieds et des mains pour m’aider, bouquet de fleur et recommandation de restaurant. Tout était vraiment parfais !

Le site Booking a un bug qui montre qu’il est possible de réserver une cabane pour moins de 100 euros, ce n’est pas le cas faites attention
