Mobola Island Lodge

The location was very good. The room was excellent. View fantastic. The dinner with Bertha and the Potjiekost. Not the last time that we were there.

In the shower may be more space or shelf to put down washing utensils. In bedroom extra tables next to the bed.

Grosses schönes Haus direkt am Fluss. Gut ausgestattet, schöner Balkon. Preis und Leistung sehr gut.

What a fantastic place. We stayed nearly a week in the end. A fantastic place to rest from our travels. We had a ‘tent’ on the edge of the river. What beautiful accommodation, it was so well presented. Comfortable bed, hot shower, full kitchen and a braai with wood. The decking area was superb and we sat for a couple of days just watching hippos and crocodiles in the river. Incredible sunsets and sunrises. The food was excellent. You must order ahead of time so they know the numbers and it’s a set menu but it was really excellent and very tasty. Couldn’t fault it. We had a different meal every night. The breakfast was superb also and is brought to your tent. A fantastic way to start the day. It’s incredibly peaceful and we highly recommend it. The staff are all wonderful as well.

Can’t fault anything at all. WiFi is only at the restaurant and isn’t overly great but that’s not what you come here for. We didn’t have a SIM card at that point so can’t comment on the strength of the signal.

Ganz tolles Ambiente, super nettes Personal und eine sehr saubere Lodge. Man kann dort auch Aktivitäten buchen, wie beispielsweise eine Bootsfahrt auf dem Fluss während des Sonnenuntergangs. Alles in allem einfach wunderschön.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great location with very friendly staff and activities to do. Staying right on the river was a bonus and the island bar is very nice.

Rooms were not cleaned and dustbins were not emptied. No shop available where the basic stuff can be obtained had to travel to town every time for groceries and ice which was a bit uncomfortable but not the end of the world. Wifi is very limited.

Super saubere Unterkunft. Etwas teurer, aber es hat sich gelohnt dort zu sein. Hatten die Wanderung mit Sonnenuntergang gebucht. War klasse. Flusspferde und Krokodile haben wir vom Boot aus gesehen. Absolut klasse Unterkunft. Essen war klasse.

Nichts zu bemängeln.

Phantastische Lodge mit super netten Betreibern und super Lage am Fluss mit optionalen Bootstouren. Total leckeres frisch gekochtes Essen, serviert an der Bar direkt am Fluss. In der Nähe viele Krokodile und Hippos, natürlich mit dem Boot zu besichtigen auf Wunsch. Die Hängebrücke zur Bar auf die Insel macht super viel Spaß.

Die Mobola Lodge war eine unserer besten Lodges auf der Reise. Sie ist wunderschön gelegen mit der Insel am Fluss. Das Cottage war sehr geschmackvoll und gut ausgestattet - und die Bar auf der Insel ist der perfekte Sunset-Ort. Uns hat auch der Naturpool sehr gefallen. Man kann in der Anlage wunderbar entspannen. Als Paar hätten wir wahrscheinlich eines der romantischen Zelt-Häuser direkt auf der Insel mit großer Holzterrasse direkt am Wasser ausgewählt, aber als Familie war das Cottage perfekt!

Die Lage und auch die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen. Das Zelt ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt.

Wlan ist nur eingeschränkt verfügbar. Das Abendessen war gut, jedoch hat es sich leider sehr an der europäischen Küche orientiert. Hier wäre es nett gewesen sich nicht zu sehr an den Gästen zu orientieren, sondern eher afrikanische Gerichte anzubieten.
