Breath taking views

One of the worst holidays I have ever had. I will try to summarize, but please read the good reviews here as well as they say bad things but mistakenly rate this place highly. Power constantly shuts off. No wifi for most of the trip . The generator was damaged and the owner tried to blame us for it. We had used one of their provided canoes to go out on the dam, and it started sparking and left half our group stranded in the middle of the dam. The response from staff and owner was "what do you want us to do about that". Multiple issues occurred with empty promises from the manager. The managers wife had been rude and condescending. The owner phoned me and tried to make up stories and refused to give us our deposit back. I would highly recommend choosing a different hotel in this area.

We loved the view and the luxurious accomodation. We were a family party of 8 and we stayed in Inkanyezi Lodge which sleeps 11 for two nights. Although the lodge is remote we still had Wifi and Tv reception. The staff were able to assist but were also discrete and gave us privacy. The amenities - beautiful dam, boating, horse riding were good. We caught trout in the dam (Rainbow and Brown). We had a lovely fire in the evenings and the lodge was warm and spatious. It is remote so make sure not to forget anything! The standard of the accomodation is exceptional. I would definitely book again.

Not much to say here. Everything was good.

It was quiet and tranquil, it offered activities that catered to people of all ages, experienced and inexperienced. We were looked after by kind and welcoming staff, which helped us enjoy our stay even more. The seclusion from towns and the lack of internet connection allowed for excellent family bonding and a "social detox", the board games and puzzles allowed for entertainment indoors during unpleasant weather.

Nothing, as everything we did not like was out of their control, i.e the weather and loadshedding.

As advertised, beautiful views and very peaceful. We had a lovely stay.

Nothing on the property itself just the route to the property. ( road needs fixing)

The houses at Star Dam are really lovely and spacious. The setting is really beautiful however it is quite a road to get there and a SUV is definitely recommended. The staff on site were really welcoming and super friendly.

Communication from Star Dam was extremely disappointing. I sent a follow-up email after our stay informing them of the issues that we experienced, namely no wi-fi while there and a broken freezer and also requested to have a personal item left behind to be returned - to date I have still not received any response.

Firstly I would like to say a place is made by its people and we were treated like family by the stuff I would like to thank the gentleman who helped us find our cabin when we were lost they went out of there way to drive us to the correct place and make calls to the office when we got there we were met by the two lovely ladies I can’t remember there name’s unfortunately there’s really no words to describe how happy we were on this trip thanks to the stuff

I have only one complaint the network / wiffi doesn’t work there which is a problem in case of emergency’s

The house sits on top of a hill with amazing views, It’s just spectacular. The ground workers and cleaning crew are absolutely amazing. Friendly, professional and very helpful.

The road leading to the venue needs a little bit of work. A mere 20 mins drive turned into an hour and the room with bunk beds could have been altered, especially after I had explained that we are travelling as couples. By simply adding a double bed at the bottom floor with the same bedding as in the main house, would have made a huge difference.

The property is AMAZING. It has modern finishes, and lovely activities to do.

The trip there was terrible because of the rain. Two of our cars got stuck. But thank goodness for our lovely hosts who were able to assist immediately. They offered my sister an office because there was no network, they gave her coffee and warm food. They are AMAZING
