The Jungle Path Lodge

We stayed in one of the garden rooms, wth a covered terrace wth sittng area, overlookng the beautiful garden, very relaxing. Room was spotlessly clean wth a large comfortable bed. The house cat agreed, wanting to room in all the time! Fridge, tea and coffee supplies, and a water jug of filtered water supplied. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The property is a 10 min walk from the main street, wth many shops and restaurants. A note. Ask hosts about walking in the dark, there are wild elephants around after dark. Generous and varied breakfast on the terrace of the adjoining house, whch also has home stay rooms

Bathroom is clean and good water supply but needs renovating (shower screen), functional.

Beautiful location, lots of nature to observe in the immediate area. Nice and close to town, although slightly tricky mud track in the rain, and some dogs nearby. Owner and his family organised loads for us, and gave us breakfast late after we returned from elephant safari as we had missed it. Food was also great and varied each breakfast time. Such friendly people who made sure our stay was pleasant and easy. Very comfy bed, AC, fan, hot water was limited (we might have not been working the shower properly though!).

This was the first place we stayed when we arrived to Sri lanka and we were very surprised about how welcoming they were and how confortable the room was. Breakfast was also nice.

A great breakfast and a wonderful jungle garden to relax in.

The stay was great. Hosts were always there to help out with anything and everything that we needed. From transfers, to restaurant and sightseeing recommendations to late night beer (to avoid elephant encounters on the path to the main street 😊). You are literally in the jungle, in the most beautiful garden (with swings, beds, sitting area and everything that you might need). Breakfast was excellent. Prepare for the sounds of the jungle, mosquitoes and causal visits from little lizards 😇

In the middle of the jungle, yet close (walking distance) to the main touristic attractions (the Lion's rock and restos/pubs). Our host booked us an elephant safari which proved to be worth every penny we paid! The traditional breakfast they offer is very nice. I think they did a good job with the garden and surroundings too. The host is very nice and extremely helpful in giving tips and offering services (for example pick-up from airport etc...)

The bathroom was clean but the whole floor would get wet when you took a shower and would not dry for a long time. We had a rainy day and the road to the lodge is dirt and a bit difficult during the rain.
