I like the little bungalow.

The bungalow was at the front gate with people coming and going all night making noise. And the door didn't lock. The place was full of 20 year old back packer. But you get what you pay for.

Well the staff is very good

Old old old facilities, everything should be changed and improve. Somehow dirty.

The location is decent, and it's quite quiet.

The advertised check-in time was 12:00, but I was asked to wait until 14:00. I took a walk, and when I returned at 14:00, the room still wasn't ready. I was informed that someone had forgotten to check out. Again, I had to wait while they located that person and cleaned the room. Eventually, I didn't want to waste any more time on the check-in process, so I agreed to take a smaller room. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the place was extremely disappointing. The kitchen was in a terrible state, with old food and used razors scattered over the surfaces. The shower situation was inadequate; one has to pour water from a basket. The floor of the room was dirty, and there was leftover garbage from previous guests. As a budget traveler, I understand that conditions may not always be perfect, but this place was far from acceptable, even for me.

We have got big rooms.

There were some disappointments. • We booked for 2 rooms but we couldn’t check-in for one of the rooms because she rented it to another person until 5pm. As we arrived after 12pm, we should have been able to do a checked-in straight away. • WORST THING was one of our rooms got SOAKED WET because of rain. It was like raining inside of the room and the floor and the bed were COMPLETELY WET. It was unbelievable as the owner knew about it and talked that this room has leaking issue to other customer, but she rented it out to us and didn’t let us know. PLEASE DO NOT RENT IT OUT UNTIL IT GOT FIXED and be aware that we have valuable things which shouldn’t get wet at all. • bathroom smelled bad on the 2nd day of our stay. There was also an overbooking issue but it could be the system issue or anything, so we won’t complain to this matter. However, we were happy to leave the hostel at the end.

Our stay was great the lodging was comfortable and met our expectations for the price. Additionally the location was super central in san juan, we could walk to a variety of places just nearby. The staff were amazing extremely warm and welcoming. The facilities were basic but just right for our stay!

The host was helpful and kind. The aircon (which worked well) room is inside the main house and it felt like an authentic experience with many Filipinos around. Felt safe and comfortable.

The bathrooms didn’t meet the western standard (no toilet seat, no toilet paper, shower room could use a deep clean), but I expected it based on reviews so I was prepped (brought my own TP hehe)
