TEMBO Cottage Wilpattu

They were attentive to my room request as I like peace, away from noise. The place is set among greenery. And one can hear the birds singing in the morning. The breakfast was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It is just a preference - it would be nice to have one private balcony and transparent glass on the windows to view the scenery outside.

Beautiful location and very close to the national park. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Not a variety of choice for food so would recommend taking your own snacks. Was given warm water, asked for cold but told they did not understand. I would recommend only spending two nights here.

Food was good. People were friendly. Room was big enough.

Communication was quite difficult. Wifi did not work.

The staff were very courteous & helpful. Our full day safari driver was a gem & thanks to him we had a fantastic wild life experience

Great location for national park access. Wonderful friendly staff. Fabulous food, we looked forward to every meal which were all freshly cooked and delicious!

No bar or socialising area however if up early for safaris not essential

Fantastic spot for a stopover before safari. Wonderful cooked dinner and lovely staff. Comfy beds.

It was fairly basic but was one of the few places available with a swimming pool. It is close to the entrance of Willpatu park which drew us to it Food was basic but good enough. There really is only the park in the vicinity so no other real options for meals etc. staff English is limited bet enough to get by

Multiple switches to turn things on. HWS switching setup was confusing. Switch in room unmarked as to purpose, switch in bathroom. The shower, is in the bathroom with no screens, so be careful where you point the shower head otherwise things can get a bit wet. One thing I really dislike is the use of slick tiles throughout the bedroom and bathroom, once your feet get wet it is a real slip hazard, I dropped bath towels on floor to mitigate the hazard.
